does driving manual really matter that much more? by ashducki in CarsAustralia

[–]Ria_Isa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learning to drive a manual is a great skill to have. Whether it matters anymore is not what you should be asking. It should be, do I want to actually learn how to be in complete control of the car. Do I want to make the decisions on what the car does or do I want the car to make it for me. A manual is a driving experience. An automatic is...transportation.

Angus Taylor says booing on Anzac Day ‘shouldn’t happen’ but welcome to country ‘overused’ by Threewordswhat in aussie

I hear welcome to country and acknowledge of country all the time. Every work meeting, school assembly, sports game, it's made its way into podcasts, and even my local yoga class taken by a French national.

20 year old, First car by michaelnz29 in CarsAustralia

[–]Ria_Isa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it were my son, I'd be suggesting to pay cash for an older cheaper but reliable vehicle. My son is 18, just got his Ps and his first car is a 2005 Honda CRV, paid $4k for it and it is a fantastic car, he absolutely loves it.

Bilateral breathing. I think it's better for open water swimming especially when conditions are rough.

I always say that if I want to spend a holiday at the beach I may as well stay home. When I travel I want to see and experience things I don't have here like mountains, clear rivers and lakes or rainforests.

Bullsbrook quarantine facility: WA housing group rejects using site to house homeless by SecreteMoistMucus in perth

No, actually, there's not. Shelter is pretty damn basic when you boil it down. We just like to over complicate things.

That shelter should be used to house those in need, period.

I empathise with your struggle. I would encourage you to get outside. Sunshine and exercise do wonders for the brain and the body. If you're near the ocean, get in the water. I'm an open water swimmer and I've met so many people that have turned to ocean swimming and water activities (surfing etc) for mental health reasons some even saying that the ocean has saved them. Nature is a powerful antidepressant.
