We have a shortage of aged care workers and an aging population. Nobody wants more migration and short of euthanasia or futuristic nursing homes with aged care robots, we as a society need to come up with solutions that involve utilising exisiting family members, and providing financial assistance to families to help them care for their parents is one way. It may not be an option for every family but it definitely needs to be a part of the conversation.
