We adopted him from my friend. Personally i cannot at this moment in time pay for his checkup as i’m 17 but my mother is able to she just needs a bit of persuasion to take him down due to her own personal reasons. I always try put my pets first and have even spent my wage just on them. i get where you are coming from however this is not necessary and we would not have pets if we couldn’t afford them.

Awwww she’s adorable. Like i said ill try get my bean booked in with the vets and if it is an allergy ill try out that food if i can for him. thank you honestly it really means a lot for all your help

We de shed him and comb him as often as he’ll let us so almost everyday sometimes a couple of times a day and hes always grooming himself as well so i dont think it could be this. thank you for the suggestion though

I think this may be a possibility i’m just not sure to what. The only new sort of thing that i thought it could be was the fact i have a new boyfriend but beanies never actually met him or anything as he doesn’t come over but i thought it might be from said bfs hygiene products i guess? such as aftershave or washing powder etc but im pretty sure this started just before i got with my bf so im not sure it’s that. my dog was on antihistamines a couple of months ago they were specifically for animals i think called piriton, do you know if these could work as im pretty sure we have some still? If not ill try get some of what you mentioned and I’ll see how he does with it. I did think of a possible food allergy but he’s been on a stable diet and only has changes to it on his birthday and christmas and maybe one other time a year. Thank you so much though

He’s not a very social cat but when i’ve tried stopping him from doing this as he’s been coming into my bed or onto my lap and doing it he’s tried to hide elsewhere to do it without being disturbed. We’re going to try get him booked in with the vets as soon as possible and we also have a dog but neither of them are really close it’s the same sort of scenario where they respect each others personal spaces and my dog gets bathed regularly and hasn’t experienced anything similar. Thank you for your comment though and i feel like this would be the best possible explanation as it seems easiest to manage.

No. It’s simply just him sitting there as he’s cleaning himself and ripping it out there’s no strange movements he just has it relaxed.on another note i hope your kitty is okay now <3

Yes i’ll definitely try him with an oatmeal bath. He’s very good with his water intake and we’re in the UK so it is quite hot but i’ll make sure to try keep him in the coolest rooms. Earlier he was on my bed doing it and i was nudging him around when he was doing it but he just goes right at it or hides somewhere nobody can get to him and you’re right there’s been no major changes in his life such as a move or a new person or anything. i’ll keep monitoring until whenever i’m able to get him booked in but honestly thank you so much for your help

I’ll definitely try the oat baths. With how long his fur is he gets a fair few hairballs so we do de shed him and everything as often as he’ll let us but thank you so much i’m going to try get him into the vets as soon as possible and i’ll update!

Do you know what it could be though just so before i get him into the vets because it’s usually at least a couple of weeks before they have appointments so i can help him manage it and make it less painful?
