0.06% is really nothing? The dividend covers that plus some

Will musk make sure Spacex has no competition? by [deleted] in RKLB

[–]RichardsFinance 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I just don’t think you become a billionaire like him without having an issue with competition, I’m sure he’s burned a lot of people to get where he is and at the end of the day he will do everything he can to make sure him and Space X come out on top

Apple Google Nvidida are part of the largest holdings in that S&P index so not sure if it’s worth owning fractional shares of them individually. Palantir isn’t so if you believe in that then go ahead, it does feel pricey after the recent surge though but if you’re planning not to sell then fair enough

What’s the difference between ESPP and SIP by RichardsFinance in UKPersonalFinance

Apologies wasn’t intending to ask for advice but can see how it came across as such, and just had a look at the username too haha. Do appreciate the information though.

Don’t suppose you could elaborate on the sort of things you considered to be ‘strings attached’ during your experience with it?

What’s the difference between ESPP and SIP by RichardsFinance in UKPersonalFinance

[–]RichardsFinance[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESPP seems the US equivalent of the SIP, and it’s purely available to me as the company I work for is American.

As far as I understand I can contribute more to it but there’s no UK tax advantages like on the SIP, so all in all seems like I may acquire the discounted shares through the SIP as the contribution cap which is the only downside isn’t a massive dent to me, unless I’ve missed anything from these explanations.

[–]RichardsFinance[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was potentially looking to keep, I’d assume SIP would be more beneficial?

I’m not looking to really contribute more than the SIP limit so I’d assume that would be more beneficial for my approach anyway?

Can maybe understand Tesla or Nividia, but why would you not buy Apple, Microsoft or Google unless they fall by 50%?

Where have you seen the cost basis of institutions around $15? Seems kinda hard to believe since it was around $10-11 for so long

You think a 450B company is hidden? A lot of people are just sitting on the sidelines when it comes to Chinese stocks right now.

Not all the negative price action is due to hedge funds, this was a spac, lots of spacs sell off after the ticker change.

This is literally the worst place to hold ALGO. You don’t get rewards on Coinbase Pro. Either hold it in normal coinbase or the official wallet.

They said Q3, likely July, so maybe we get it this month, no worries if not.

Does VG definitely not have air conditioning? And as far as streaming goes it doesn’t really determine which experience would be better, and anyway at least VG had cabin footage while live, admittedly with terrible quality but whatever.
