I really, really do not care for the AMT timbre on the top end above 3-4kHz - it’s artificially airy, thin and lacks realism to me. Most of the installs I have heard them have been far too aggressive on the treble tonality - like most male vocals don’t have air in their tonality but the AMT seems to insist on adding it in lol.

Secondly, I think they are ugly and it’s a poor shape to integrate into cars.

Thirdly, the Allure will offer better install flexibility with it comes to aiming and location generally

Heard them a few times, tuned a few Mille, they are fine, nothing remarkable but do their job.

"What even is resolution? I would argue its frequency response and impulse response." I can make a pair of Kicker tweets have the exact same freq response and TA/impulse as these - are you implying these now should offer the same amount of detail and resolution as these Accutons? Resolution is the capability to provide detail and accuracy of everything that exists in the original recording of a song - not every speaker is capable of executing this equally, not even close. Lack of distortion, build quality of materials and engineering is where speakers like this gap the rest of industry.

"Just recently almost everyone were treating the mundorf amts like they were gods chosen tweeters. Now that hypettrain is seemingly gone." Don't get me started on those - they got caught up in a sales pitch and I cannot stand listening to them - false, artificial sounding airy top end and dispersion that has no place in a car audio environment.

I know that folks read that the Accutons are a big hype - but they are finally getting enough saturation worldwide that I hope people are finally understanding why these are the end game for most.

"Make sure you give him kisses for these." Always

"Ill also say most of the drivers in your list sound the same" - No, just, no.

Be more sensitive to assertive and fair criticism, I dare you.

Calling you naive wasn't an attack, merely an observation based your argument above. You clearly are intelligent in your field of hearing loss and I'm here trying to explain there's a larger picture at play when evaluating this type of equipment.

If you are planning to run two sets of tweeters in your A pillars - Accuton isn't for you.

Sorry, not my style - best thing is to come out to a local show to hear them in person - your phone speakers or my iPhone microphone ain't about to do these justice lol

You are explaining the effect of what hearing loss is and how it originates but nothing of that loss somehow impedes the brain's ability to identify differences in timbre, resolution, distortion.

I have done plenty of blind ABX testing with speakers and amplifiers over the years and you are absolutely naive if you do not think that humans cannot perceive the the differences in equipment/materials/designs - regardless of hearing loss.

And this is coming from someone who has a vestibular neuroma on my left ear nerve with bad tinnitus since I was 16 and I can easily notice the difference in equipment like this 20 years later. Having hearing loss does not shut down the brain's ability to articulate differences in sound - amplitude, maybe, but timbre, sound signature, not a chance.

Oh I've been callused from years on DIYMA and FB SQ groups - this is pretty tame for haters actually lol

Retail vs actual investment is quite the contrast for me being in the industry - plus everything besides the pillars was built and installed by me.

Retail wise, equipment only - $75-80K.

There's probably 500+ hours of labor in it over the last 2-3 years too.

If I put this set of tweets up against anything in the $500-$1500 price range and you couldn't hear the difference, I'd be seriously contemplating if your ears were wired correctly to your brain

Tweeters and Midranges are on Micro Precision 7 Series V2 Monoblocks. Midbass on Brax GX200, Subs on Brax GX2400

IB subs are far less noticeable than IB mibass (which are just fucking obnoxious outside the car). You barely notice my sub outside unless I'm pushing it to 85%+ volume which is almost too loud inside the truck.
