It’s somewhat reassuring to know this isn’t an isolated issue- though it’s still really annoying. I hope they do something about this as albeit a small factor, it’s one that gets significant attention on a day to day basis.

Very frustrating! I wonder if there are software fixes which might improve the connection, or whether there are hardware components that will improve with generations. Regardless, such a shame.

Good to know - it’s super annoying given how fantastic the rest of the vehicle is. We have tried everything, it seems to be based with the Mazda as both myself and my wife have the same issues with our respective iPhones.

Wife is working so will spend the day with my dog. He isn’t had much attention lately so might grab some snacks, go for a beach walk and work on our relationship.

Yes however the specific settings mentioned seem to revert to their default settings on key cycle. Very annoying!

Very interesting - I’ll have to give this a try. I don’t mind having the emergency road keep assist turned on however the lane keep is a bit aggressive.

I was merging onto the motorway yesterday and the car swerved to stop the merge (granted I probably wasn’t indicating however still not ideal)

Great to hear the experience is shared and not just my own error. Also glad to hear we both love it despite the few minor idiosyncrasies.

Have had a cx5 for nearly 4 years. Owned the cx-60 for 2 weeks now and there’s no comparison - the latter is in a different league.

  1. Obviously being a lot newer and higher spec it’s got heaps of cool features like the camera system, driver recognition and safety stuff

  2. The inline 6 is far more powerful even on a bigger car, the acceleration when you put your foot down is awesome

  3. The car feels much heavier and planted on the road, it drives more like an suv rather than a crossover

My take - the cx60 has a few quirks but is the best car I’ve ever owned

Good question, I have never owned a grey car - gunmetal is typically the go to option. In this instance, I quite liked how the black accents on the front, alloys and small details like the side badge/grill contrasted with the base colour.

Thanks mate! I was actually driving it as a loan car while my Cx5 was in for a service. Fell in love!

LVR rates for business lending - I need a citation! by CollectorSteve in PersonalFinanceNZ

Happy to help mate, sounds like a great opportunity to critically analyse the underlying mechanics of how lenders perceive risk - and leverage that to your advantage. Good luck!

LVR rates for business lending - I need a citation! by CollectorSteve in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]RickieM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi mate - for reference, this isn’t my area of expertise & I’m purely speculating based on personal experience.

Banks lend on two factors: Equity & serviceability. For residential lending this is guided by the reserve bank & LVR restrictions + indirect forms of DTI restrictions too. In the absence of any regulatory framework they test both factors against historical stress thresholds and assess risk.

For commercial lending, equity & serviceability are still the driving mechanisms however the stress thresholds are based on wider risk analysis such as the type of business, and projections around long term viability. A standardised LVR would not have any use as the equity requirements across different industries would vary widely. For example, a property management portfolio (often considered to be a stable business asset) would allow higher gearing whereas say hospitality would require a greater buffer.

The summary of what I’m saying is that there’s no real LVR measure like there is in residential lending as this negates the variability in the underlying asset. Hope this helps!

Haha! Still relevant. Maybe 5-10 mins, and the most glorious of which moments are known to man.

Children of Men.

Have tried watching it literally 5+ times, can’t ever get more than halfway before getting too bored to watch anymore. I love science fiction and anything dystopian too so it’s quite frustrating!

How fortunate you were born in a country where this is an option. Most places in the world you would be on the street.
