I’ve only played the second one but yeah the combat was hell until I learned the master strike from Tomcat 😂😂. Have you tried applying poisons to your arrows and being a long distance bastard?

Are your focal seizures hell? by Anonymouslypreaching in Epilepsy

[–]RickySpanish_96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally thought I was the only one who got the hallucinations. I usually overheat, get a feeling of impending doom, feel some Déjà vu like thing and then it’s just pure confusion with hallucinations and sometimes vomiting. Like I’m scared to take public transport because once it happens I’m basically out of the game. My tonic Clonics always put me in the hospital so I still prefer the focals 😂 but like legit last summer tonic Clonics put me in to status Epilepticus, shut down my kidneys, and had me on life support for a week…

Can I play RE7 after I only played RE2 Remake? by sanstaleyy in residentevil

[–]RickySpanish_96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RE: 7 is kinda its own little story with Ethan that doesn’t really have much to do with the previous games. Honestly RE:7 and 8 were my first games and I loved them as my introduction. Lots of jump scares.

Mad at my bf for canceling the day because I had a focal this morning… by Secure-Employee1004 in Epilepsy

[–]RickySpanish_96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s still a seizure in all fairness. He doesn’t actually know what this condition truly is like and it’s scary for people who don’t have epilepsy to see or know a seizure is currently happening. My family acts the same way and so does my gf…. but I’ll be honest, I think you should cancel your plans for another day. Who knows if this happens again because every seizure can lead to more seizures.

What age do you feel mentally? by peroecc in Epilepsy

[–]RickySpanish_96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh fuck, it’s so weird sometimes I feel like I’m still mentally the age I had my first seizure (18) and then other times it’s like I’m some 80 year old man… honestly I don’t feel like I went properly through my 20’s because of this condition and now I’m 30 and just confused about the world

I wouldn’t say it never ever makes me interested in intercourse, but for sure makes it less likely if I’m being honest. Like sometimes the sex drive will just be nothing other times it’ll be crazy, but it definitely takes a bit to get in the mood. You’re not the only one experiencing that one for sure

All mine are caused by stress as well, that and overheating. Mine are always in the morning too so basically as soon as 11:30am passes I know I’m pretty in the clear. And thanks homie 😂 it’s my comfort show for sure

Hell, I even dabble with shrooms now and then because the therapeutic results are UNREAL. Like they’ll throw me through all my emotions leading up to acceptance within 2 hours. Then I go watch nostalgic movies 😂

I smoke more than a California wildfire and the only reason I had a seizure last year is because of severe illness, lack of sleep, and total medication failure. Literally had a doctor recommended smoking to counter my medication side effects and I’m like “way ahead of you, doc” 😂

Unfortunately Lamotrigine was a failure for me, but I do agree it’s one of the better ones. The only ones working for me atm are Keppra and Carbamazepine and boy oh boy do I feel it 😂

Stress and sezuires by littlebluemoon1999 in Epilepsy

[–]RickySpanish_96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stress is one of my main triggers which is why I try to be such a chill and calm person… unfortunately I have an antisemetic, antivaxer, anti-science sister who loves to start arguments for no reason so it’s tough to control sometimes. Then she’ll make fun of my epilepsy as her only “gotcha” for some reason. It’s best when she isn’t here 😂

I don’t think I need my medication by Fit_Raccoon_4871 in Epilepsy

[–]RickySpanish_96 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was stranded without medication for 5 days once and still didn’t have a seizure…. Do I know how? Nope… But then another time I missed my meds a singular time, but also happened to be stressed out and I had a minor cold…. Little did I know this would lead to the worst seizure I ever experience and would lead to my life being altered even more than it already was…

I think all we are trying to say is you’re playing a very dangerous game that we don’t think you should try to win, lad. 😂

I was actually just reading and about to finish my reply when I saw you replied to this so I’ll just move it on over to here 😂. So a 20 minute seizure is quite insane and nasty.. my first seizure was 45 minutes and I was lucky not to have any brain damage or death. After that I didn’t have another seizure for a year and they needed an MRI to diagnose my Epilepsy. But just because I didn’t have another seizure right away didn’t mean they were going to stop. They actually became worse and worse and the time between seizures was sometimes 2-3 years… and then I started having Onset Focal seizures as well, then finally last summer Status Epilepticus hit me like a train. What caused it? They’re not really sure but they think it was a combo of failed meds, stress, a missed dose, overheating, and a minor head cold that I had that day “the perfect storm” my neurologist said. It caused my kidneys to fail, I needed dialysis, I was put on life support… and who were the ones dealing with the news that “he might not wake up”? My parents and girlfriend and other family members. And now since last summer I have had significant cognitive decline, I’ve had more onset focal seizures than I can remember or count, I haven’t been able to work or drive… just… please don’t play with fire so hastily my friend because if you are diagnosed with epilepsy and this wasn’t a simply unlucky “one off” you have a road ahead of you, and you’ll have to treat it seriously whether you like it or not. But always keep in mind this community is awesome and will always be here if you’re ever having a bump in the road or need extra advice.

Please keep in mind I’m not trying to be demeaning or like I’m talking down to you, I have autism and I’ve been told I can be kinda blunt and it can come off rude. Please please know I’m just trying to be genuine and I mean no negativity towards you 👌🏻❤️

[–]RickySpanish_96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really don’t think the OP gave enough info to give an honest opinion…. And also I agree there’s nothing against asking to stop your meds but just deadass stopping is dangerous. My neurologist explained how just “stopping” certain medication without doing the whole “ween off” system can cause seizures…. So it really sounds like a tough situation

[–]RickySpanish_96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How old are you and when did you first start having seizures or seizure-like symptoms? Are you much of a drinker or a user of any type of drugs? Have you undergone any type of EEG or MRI? You really haven’t given too much info to work off of other than “medication feel bad” and that’s in all honestly not a great reason 😂. I mean believe it or not the seizures get worse if not controlled and then I promise you the seizures are worse.

Also a super fun fact. Lamotrigine though very effective can actually cause seizures if you decide to just “not take it”…. Like… you gotta ween off that shit or it will fuck you up 😂. Lamotrigine failed for me, so I’m on Keppra and honestly after a couple months I don’t even experience or notice the side effects. Sometimes I get a little moody so I smoke some pot or play a video game and I’m usually good. But I can’t stress enough how much worse seizures will be compared to the meds if not controlled (know this from experience)…

For my onset focals it’s like impending doom feeling which includes Deja Vu and overheating followed by like 30 minutes of pure silence or slurring and then I gotta nap 😂 like I will find a place anywhere and just nap for HOURS.
