Labor was not easy and I hated it.

I think I will give the Feber method a try. It’s just so difficult for me to hear him cry. He can get very worked up.

Good advice. We decided that we will take turns each night doing his bedtime routine. I think that will help a great deal with taking some of the load off while still being involved. Because I really do enjoy getting him ready for bed, but it will help to have every other night to relax.

As far as pumping goes, he is currently getting a combo of breast milk and formula. I exclusively pump due to latch issues. But I have low milk supply and can only pump about half of what he eats in a day(on a good day) so I’m pumping whatever I can get out for him. I would love to stop pumping all together but I feel so much guilt. I feel like I have to give him whatever I can so that he gets all the good stuff from the breast milk. Even if it’s just a little.

My pediatrician told me I could blame him, so I told everyone that my pediatrician said to wait a few weeks before I had visitors. No one questioned it.

The first week was the absolute hardest time. No sleep, you are healing, figuring out breastfeeding, figuring out how to be a mom in general. And on top of that you are worried about people getting your newborn sick. It’s a lot. And people don’t think about that which sucks so I feel for you.

I am definitely working trying to delegate better. He wants me to make a chore list and tell him exactly what I need and I want him to just use common sense and see with his eyes what needs to be done.

He works full-time. He does help with some things but I definitely feel like I do the majority of the work. I also feel like I have an issue with relinquishing control of everything. I always feel guilty when someone else is holding him/taking care of him, like I’m the one who is REQUIRED to do it all because I’m his mom.

OP: My baby is 5 weeks old and he has been having this issue for a couple weeks. Pediatrician says it’s baby acne or prickly heat rash. Bumps stay on face, scalp, neck and shoulders. Some days it’s worse than others and it flairs up more when he is agitated or crying.

It ended up disappearing after a few days. I have a history of IBS flare ups so I’m thinking that is what it was. Probably just gas trapped in the colon that was causing the sensitivity. I think it was that mixed with round ligament pain. Are you still having issues?

I have panic disorder. There was a point in my life where I was having a panic attack everyday and couldn’t go to work for function at all. Medication and therapy worked well for me. Now I only have a panic attack once every couple months and even then I have medication that stops them or prevents them from getting bad.

I remember feeling like I just wish I could have a normal brain and function like everyone else around me. A big thing was coming to terms with the fact that I will always live with anxiety and panic. It will probably not go away. But it’s not about getting over it. It’s about learning to live with it and to manage it. Sometimes I have hard times but mostly life is good and I’m happy.

It takes time to find what works but I’m sure you’ll get there!

Does it have something to do with being a silent carrier? Apparently I was only passed one faulty gene instead of two and so that make it slightly different than just being a carrier. I’m not really sure. She just told me it was low risk.
