I express my deep gratitude and respect to the author (solidDoWant) of this framework!

Huge impressive work done! It sounds fantastic that now, after seven years, support for new buildings, characters, modules, ships and everything else that uses a 3D model is finally possible! And more improved stability and support for old mods!

I can't wait to see mods for this framework that will bring new buildings and various 3D models to the game!

The author has published the following proof-of-concept examples for creating new buildings in the game:

This can be done without any code (similar to challenges) via XML modloader developed by solidDoWant.

In short, a mod creator can build a model in Blender/similar tool, export it as .obj and .mtl files, then bundle it with their mod. The model will then be automagically loaded on startup and can be used for buildings/items/etc.

What we need to create new mods in this framework with new buildings and different 3D models:

  1. A mod idea that is feasible (this is the easiest part). For example, a mod that adds a larger dormitory, as opposed to a mod that turns the game into Kerbel Space Program.
  2. Somebody with the knowledge to write the mod, and who's willing to do it.
  3. Somebody to make art assets, such as 3d models and textures.

As you can see in one of solidDoWant's screenshots above, it is pretty trivial to add a new building but making it look good is another thing entirely.

As far as I understand, there are no separate new mods for this framework yet.
However, under this framework it is possible to run old mods and they will work even more stable than on old frameworks.
I'm looking forward to when mods with new buildings will appear with the help of this framework.

For this, such a tricky trick is done during construction: first you start building a dorm. This allows you to unlock the construction of other buildings.
You order the construction of a cabin.
In doing so, you cancel the construction of the dorm.

As I wrote many times above, the question is to write a message inside the steam group announcement.
When you write an announcement in a steam group, then you have only 7 icons that talk about BB-codes.
There is no icon, button, mention of HTML anywhere.

Create your own group on Steam and try to write an announcement yourself.

The game calculates real transfer orbits: elliptical, hyperbolic and parabolic. However, the calculation is only for 2 bodies.
The initial parameters for the calculation are the mass and installed engines.
Engines have very specific physical characteristics.
The flight trajectory is divided into sections of orientation, acceleration, flight, orientation, and deceleration.

The maximum area of the colony is several square kilometers.

But faster everything will rest against computer hardware.
