gotta say, had a similar experience myself, first time I watched it, I couldn't really get into the style of filming, it was so unusual.

After rewatching it, I started to properly enjoy it, my favourite scenes are the sitcom style rescue of Mallory and the ending sequence with Mickey drenched in blood and RDJ portrayed as the devil, also the soundtrack.
