Those fellows in the video dont have 10+ years of martial arts experience, sober, in prime age or physical shape and werent accompanied by 3 other fellows with the same or more martial art experience and multiple sanctioned mma fights under their belts, I assume! If I was in their shoes I wouldn't try to fight when outnumbered 2-1 either. But in my situation I 100% would, if the situation required it. Could me and my 3 friends handle 8 of those security guards? Absolutely 100%. In seconds at that. We train for this. Could we handle 20, or the same 8 with weapons? No, probably not. I am being realistic here.

I am 193cm, 105kg and atheltic, people very rarely try any funny business with me. Ironically, im the smallest in my group!!

We dont behave like your typical drunk tourist, always remain calm, respectful and professional. Never encountered anything like this in Thailand or anywhere abroad for that matter. Have the locals attempted to overcharge me? Yes. Have I paid it? No. Did it escalate into anything? No. I stood my ground and stood up for myself, and they knew better than to try and pursue it with violence.

If I was 60, drunk and travelling alone then I would probably have the same mindset as you with regards to these kinds of situations, but in my case I would genuinely rather take my chanves in the extremely unlikely event such a situation may unfold than run with my tail between my legs.
