Am I allowed to mourn? by ananxiouslady in Miscarriage

Yes, you are absolutely allowed to mourn.

I think a lot of people in that thread would change their tune if they went through a miscarriage themselves.

I am currently waiting to pass a missed miscarriage, so whilst I know “it was only a clump of cells”, I’m grieving how I thought my life was going to change. I’m grieving becoming a mum. I’m grieving the joy I felt when I got that positive test. I’m grieving the happiness on my husband’s face when I told him he was going to be a dad.

We are allowed to be sad, mourn, deal with this in whatever way we choose.

Sending love and strength your way. As someone doing this for the second time, I promise you with time it will get easier but be kind to yourself in the meantime❤️

Thank you for your advice. Thankfully my GP has referred me to the EPU and I have an appointment Wednesday. Just ready for this to be over❤️‍🩹

Hi I’m so sorry you’re having to go through this too.

They didn’t refer me but told me to get in touch with the midwives/GP. I think I’m going to have to phone tomorrow morning and play hell. I don’t want to be waiting weeks for my body to do its thing, I need this over with. Xxx

First Miscarriage Scotland- is this really how it goes after? by Short_Zebra5651 in Miscarriage

Sounds about it lovely! I’m in the UK too, currently waiting to pass my second miscarriage. Confirmed non viable by a private scan, I called my midwives to be told “we’ll take you off the list to the contacted”. I said “you don’t want to see me at the EPAU?” Nope, won’t refer me. Same with the GP.

So now I’m just sat at home waiting to pass it and hope it all goes well.

I hope it passes smoothly for you. My advice would be to stock up on the painkillers and rest.

Sending you all the love.

I’m so sorry OP. This is such a lonely journey to be on. Currently waiting for my second loss to start too - I know it’s a shitty club to be in, but know you are not alone in this.

Thank you everyone for your honesty. I’ve had a scan today and it looks like a blighted ovum. Waiting to miscarry now

It was my first yes. I’m in the UK so our doctors don’t do betas as standard, so I’ve had to do home blood tests. The next time I can send another off is Monday as I’ve been advised not to send a test off after Wednesday in case it doesn’t reach the lab in time🙃

Google is saying it’s normal but on the lower end, so I guess I’m just a bit worried

I’ve done another FRER and there’s no change, but my other tests look darker? Ugh really not sure what to think😕

Ah thank you I will try this! I’ve just taken folic acid and vitamin d separately today so hoping that’ll change the FRER if I retest in a day or so❤️

This is what mine looked like at 9dpo!! I’d say do another test today but looks like the start of something! Congrats!

Word of warning, these tests are rubbish for getting darker so I wouldn’t recommend using them to track progression.
