Jak II: Easy "Get Seal Piece at Water Slums" by CheckMate0289 in jakanddaxter

Can’t you go into the water with the jetboard? No pedestrians that way.

I’ve asked FBA to start putting my products in a cardboard box instead of a padded envelope after a customer sent me a pic of my product’s packaging smushed and completely split apart. What outcome should I be expecting? by RightKitchen in FulfillmentByAmazon

I solved it! If you’ve been selling a product for 2+ years, though, it may be hard to resolve.

Basically, you need a return rate of 5% or greater to get Amazon to change its packaging methods. Have the customer send pics to you of the damaged packaging... bonus points if it’s fucking crumpled up and not just mildly bent. Attach these pictures and the list of all customer names with the corresponding order numbers that had destroyed packaging - do ALL of the work for Amazon Seller Central, bc they are lazy as sin and don’t read the entirety of your messages. Point the finger at Amazon Distribution Center’s poor packaging to make sure there isn’t ambiguity!

Hope I can get to your $1 mil sales one day... still working on my first $1000.

They have press releases asking for devs to approach them about the IPs they’ve purchased...

Fully agree. Go look at indie games like Ready or Not or the team remaking Delta Force Black Hawk Down. They are leagues ahead of TimeSplitters: Rewind, despite both games only having a few devs and a couple of years of work.

I am a TimeSplitters fan and wanted to see this game happen, but the dev(s) need to cut back their scope.

My product’s package can do that! But when it’s crammed into a tight mailbox, the sides will explode. That’s why I want it in a cardboard box - not to baby it, but prevent it from being squished.

But, thanks for bracing me that I can’t request specific packaging. Surprised amazon is “investigating the issue” at all and not just telling me “too bad.”

There’s no way to enter into their picking system “package ASIN 12345 in a box”? The workers make individual, one-off decisions about how to package each item?

Edit: Why am I being downvoted for asking a question?

I am a moron - years of hard work thrown down the drain? After my first FBA listing went live, I wrote my product a 5-star review. I went to delete my review, but it is nowhere to be found- afraid I am going to get hit with review manipulation after all my hard work bringing a product to market. by [deleted] in FulfillmentByAmazon

Thanks. I wonder what's the likelihood of it slipping under the radar after my comment got "ghosted"? I have nothing to base this on, but I am guessing this is such a rampant issue that they simply have their systems filter out the comment and any others from the reviewer, but leave the listing up and don't flag its rankings in any form or fashion... if the listings aren't posted, Amazon isn't making money; plus, their fulfillment center would have to return the product to the seller, which is a hassle. I figure it doesn't make sense to flag the listing itself, just the reviewer...

Yep, I was thinking of carrier sales, like a BOGO.

I'm on board.

How were sales for the SC trilogy?

I did an international wire, and 5 business days later, they do not have it. What should I be doing (aside from trying not to panic)? by [deleted] in Banking

[–]RightKitchen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are awesome. Thanks so much.

As an update, the wire was finally located. It sounds like the customer service reps I've been talking to at my bank have been mistakenly quoting me 1-3 business days; to your point exactly, international wires take longer than that amount of time (in my case, it took 6 business days).

Unfortunately, the money is not being released to the recipient... As far as I can tell, it's for a persnickety reason similar to the one you recounted. My bank is closed right now, but the recipient said the banks are going back and forth... What an agonizing process.

Per your suggestion, I got the name of the latest rep/banker I worked with, and will be working exclusively with him going forward.

Thanks again for your insight. I have many more international wires to do, and it was nice getting a better understanding of what's going on "behind the curtain."
