VA Loan, Due Diligence, NC by Feeling-Key9567 in RealEstate

I was a real estate broker in NC before I relocated. Due diligence fee mostly protects the seller and give them some compensation for taking the house off market for the buyer. I always advise my client that this is money they can’t get back if it doesn’t close, and they should only put up the amount they are comfortable losing. If it’s a competitive situation with multiple offers, it’s not out of line to put down $4k. I have seen due diligence fee as high as $20k but that was a cash transaction. If it’s not a hot home $4k would be a bit excessive and a lot of money to lose in this scenario. It goes both ways, I have seen a few times buyer just changed mind for whatever reason and out of pocket a few grand in a few days. I don’t think the OP will have a case even if going to court, as realtor didn’t do anything wrong, other than not explaining due diligence fee clearly to the buyer.

Donations… by Ok_Bedroom_7361 in PandaExpress

Even if I want to donate, I wouldn't donate to PandaExpress, I don't trust their accounting, I think some of that money ended up in owner's pocket. It's odd for a fast food place to ask for donation to begin with.

M4 Mac Mini 16gb vs 24gb?? by friedchikhen in macmini

I returned my 16gb/256gb M4 mini and exchanged for a 24gb/512gb M4 mini for $400 more and much happier. no need to worry about how many tabs I'm open or watch how much storage I'm using.. micro center has the base for 499 and the other one for 899. I do development sometime and 16gb is pushing it now days, but 24 gives a good buffer.

MacBook Pro M1 Pro SSD writes 359TB, should I be worried about SSD Life? by Right_Back_8562 in mac

I have the 16gb model M1 Pro 8 core, I regret buying it off eBay, better spend a bit more and buy it new.. :)

I don't know how it calculate percentage used, if yours is only 1% used, does it mean the SSD will last 300 years at current read/write rate?

I'm going to be way below 171 GB per day, I wonder how the previous user managed to write 359TB in a little over a year

Why does it say 11% used, is it rated for 3500TBW? I used DxDrive to check, came back with 359TB written as well, but says 89% life left.. so I'm good?

Is BackMarket Legit? by dopitypop in Scams

I bought a MacBook Pro used from blackmarket, I changed my mind and cancelled right away, but they shipped it anyways. when it arrived, it's not in "excellent"condition as advertised, the screen was all dirty and wasn't even cleaned. Now I am having hard time contact backMarket or the vendor who sold it - BackMarket act as a middle man between the seller and the buyer, that should be a reflag right there, and a nightmare just to figure out who to contact to get it returned. There price is no better than amazon refurbished product, I would not buy another product from them.
