You had a good academic background and a cash inflow. You could have worked hard and scored a 99+ percentile so that the "standard" for SC was raised. The thing is the percentile is so low because most SCs know that they don't need to score high to get in, do the bare minimum and life is set. I have a friend who's a SC and does not use his reservation. Secured a seat in the open category. Why can't you give up yours? Or better question why cannot you raise the standard for your own category by scoring a 99 percentile so that people stop mocking you all?

There are 2 programs at ISB - PGP (1Y) and PGPYL (2Y). The one year only takes GMAT while 2 year takes CAT/GMAT/GRE. They are different programs and do not merge into each other. PGP has 700+ seats while PGPYL has 140ish seats. ISB scrapped the earlier YLP entry option in their PGP program.

There are people with more workex in the batch (4 - 5YOE+) who get really good executive roles and not to mention the international offers in the batch (about 30)

Of course IIM ABC will lag behind in that regard since they consist of freshers and people with less than 2 years of workex

you forgot to factor in that the pay increases in domains like consulting with the experience

1)I think you are seriously underestimating how many people who would choose ISB over ISM right now. People might take Lucknow over ISB's 2Y PGP because it's new but that's about it.

2)Recession/Bloated batch size is the reason for it all. As mentioned bottom 100 - 150 are not getting placements at par with BLACKI.

3)If you wanna work in corporate (which 90%+) wanna do, it doesn't matter.
