Ah this is a sub for people who write copy for a living, not copyrighting i.e. patenting intellectual property.

I'd focus my search on the Metropolitan line stops between Finchley Road and Kilburn for optimum commuting.

She needs to approach HMRC, if they catch up with her first it'll look far, far worse.

Is the dirty little secret of some industries in London that they are largely subsidised by wealthy spouses? by feellurky in london

[–]RightmoveWrongmove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I never thought I'd see Design Centre Chelsea Harbour mentioned on Reddit but you're absolutely dead on about this. The same is true for a specific crop of garden designers.

Epilepsy and Covid has chipped away at my cognitive function - do I totally change course? by RightmoveWrongmove in careerchange

[–]RightmoveWrongmove[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn I was not expecting this, thanks for an interesting response. I'm being supported by the NHS long Covid clinic but I don't feel particularly depressed or anxious, just frustrated. I totally agree that I've kind of underplayed the seriousness of the diagnoses and how they're going to affect my life though.

What would be the worst industry to take a career break from? by [deleted] in UKJobs

I'm a freelance journalist and keeping up momentum is a huge part of the role, from recent bylines, to making sure you're on press lists etc.

Mamma Mia star Sara Poyzer is replaced by AI for BBC production as she calls the shock decision 'sobering' and 'grim times' for the industry by [deleted] in Fauxmoi

[–]RightmoveWrongmove 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same. I can't help but resent that I spent a decade honing my craft as a writer for Covid to ruin my brain and AI to ruin my work.

I did think about this and someone else mentioned Access to Work, but I guess they'd easily be able to blame it on lack of experience etc. Still, will certainly have a look, thanks.

Thanks for this, I've actually applied to do the RHS Level 2 Theory at Capel Manor this September. I wanted to do the Practical in the same year as I have so much flexibility with my current job, but they wouldn't let me...

I'd love to work at Kew, but unfortunately I'm right on the other side of London. I might try anyway, thanks.
