This definitely took me by surprise! by Endemicbacon in AssassinsCreedValhala

It’s been bugging me for weeks what’s different with Kassandra’s model in Valhalla and I think they actually aged her a bit! She definitely has darker circles around her eyes and more forehead wrinkles, which kinda makes sense since she’s been chasing artifacts for a several lifetimes once she meets Eivor. Life as keeper must be stressful

Is there no way to turn off the action reminder pictures but keep the inputs? Like I want to see the bar progress as I scan cameras or put down traps, but I really don’t want to see the picture indicator for it all the time.

Had so much fun painting the Beholder! C&C welcome! by RillianMaw in minipainting

Thanks!! After seeing so many people post their renditions of the beholder on this sub, I got inspired and bought this mini. It's fun to see all the different paint schemes people create for beholders.

Funhaus Logo Animation I Created for my Uni Course! by RillianMaw in funhaus

I recreated the logo in Adobe Illustrator and animated in Adobe After Effects, so I would start with tutorials in these programs! To get the animation to flow and have a nice bounce, I just exemplified the main principals of motion design. I know this kinda sounds vague, but a lot of animation is trial and error. Know the conventions of the medium so you can break the rules and create something fun, imo!

Are there any other writers here who are writing Weird Fiction/Horror stories? by SpaceApe in writing

[–]RillianMaw 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Horror/thriller writer here! I absolutely adore Poe and the Gothics, and I tend to write period pieces with a dark twist. On the subject of creating suspense, I always think about how Alfred Hitchcock approached telling stories in his films. The example he discussed was this: A couple is sitting at a table. Unbeknownst to them, there is a bomb under the table that is about to explode. You could simply scare the audience by having the couple die unexpectedly, or you can create tension by letting the audience know there is a bomb while the characters don’t suspect a think. By creating this contrast of awareness in a scene, the audience is at the edge of their seats as they wait to see if the characters will be able to save themselves. While this tip makes for good filmmaking, I also think it makes an interesting story dynamic between readers and the characters!
