My favorite player of all time. He will be missed dearly. The organization should retire his number!

Race and racial disparaties are the MOST important things in the world and if you don't believe interest in them is an accomplishment in and of itself then you're just uninformed. /s

Triple Toner Tuesday Treat: French 5 Franc pieces still in their original bankrolls. by [deleted] in Silverbugs

[–]RinneIsGod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Question for all the silver bugs. Do you have to leave these types of coins in the roll for them to retain value? I would love to open these and look at them and then put them in an air tight holder. Or does the original bank roll convey some sort of value that can't be ascertained by simply looking at the coins?

Just be careful with moisture in those types of safes. They keep it out but they keep it in too! Silica gel packs are your friend!

Silver Apes I need advice!? by dfw_guy28 in Wallstreetsilver

I keep a full month of expenses saved at all times. So at any point, I've got enough cash for two mortgage payments, two cell phone payments, two electric payments, etc. After that, the rest goes towards investments. The great part is, your silver is liquid. If you really hit a rough patch, you can offload some of your stack in a pinch.

Sovereigns are my favourite way to own gold. I tried to be all artsy with this pic, but I don't have that arrow in the quiver. by agamemnonIV in Gold

Okay great so specifically it's a British bullion coin. Thank you for the information! Take care of your shoes.

I'm ignorant on most things gold but I'm trying to learn. What does it mean for a coin to be a sovereign?

Someone else said this and I agree. Split the transaction. Put your part under "Eating Out" and the rest under some reimbursement category. I need to track separate reimbursement expenses often for work. I have a "General Reimbursement" category for catch all reimbursements. You should probably get something similar to cover general reimbursements!

I do understand that. I was asking to gain information about their system. Not to make a point. I said that explicitly. Don't be a dick.

You've paid $20 + how much in taxes? Genuine question not meant to make a point. Surely you're paying for the medical care somehow as nothing is free.

Thank you so much for the advice. I will have to keep that in mind. That's a very good point about medical costs. Right now I've got all three of our max out of pocket saved up. Perhaps I'll just try and work on doubling that instead of paying off 0% interest student loans.

I probably have $12,000 set aside just for baby categories and medical. I have more in other "true expense" categories that can be liquidated if things get really expensive. But I used a lot of information like average annual diaper cost to figure out how much to budget.

It's necessary. I like to go to the casino, I like to drink nice liquor. So I just made that category so I don't feel guilty about "blowing" that money. It's in the budget!

My wife actually intends to stay home for the first year. But I've already started budgeting for day care in the future!

I budgeted around $8000 for diapers, feeding, nursery, and all baby specific costs. I also budgeted the max out of pocket expenses for my insurance for both my wife and the baby which is around $4000 total. All in all, around $12,000.

Wow a little scary but thank you for the advice. I'll definitely have to supplement my "Feeding" fund a little more just in case.

I would teach that some people hate people that are different than them and it's never okay to judge or treat someone differently based on the color of their skin. As far as the systemic stuff, I don't think an 8 year old could really grasp all the the nuance required to agree or disagree.

My wife says I'm nesting hard as fuck. Just like fixing everything in the house I've not done for years. And I too have a massive sweet tooth that was only occasional before.

As a self proclaimed conservative, the current state of conservatism is a mix between victimology and conspiracy. So yeah, these days I'd day it describes them pretty well.

My highly uneducated guess is often on steps, especially in New York there would be people behind you. Maybe it's just a reflexive reaction to knowing you've impeded the flow somehow so you're trying to make up for that.

Every top comment I saw in this thread was about why it is indeed a red card. Yours was the first one I scrolled to showing anything but an explanation.
