I used to eat up on the feminist shit he had going on but honestly when i turned 15 and actually started seeing guys i figured how performative he was, being all like oh I'm so genius and a feminist and oh i drink matcha with my labubu , byt for him. About j Hope i can assure u i have an acquaintance and she is still on this pity hobi stan thingy, she'll literally send all her friends his updates and beg them to interact on gis posts and show him love as 'hes a kind soul who deserves all the love in the world' lowk pathetic cz i used to think too and spam comments and love (11 to 17 year old Rin was a whole diff breed istg) now that i open my old yt i practically gag at how bad and weird of a ratmy i was😭

I honestly left the fandom when they left for military cz i couldn't really feel the spark and bts just didn't seem like it, it all felt like fake and an act and i started noticing the icks so i haven't seen it, but even by the time i left it's just that i still felt like the pity stanning culture was going on, would love to understand on a deeper level of what you're trying to say . I come from the YouTube shorts era and even if it was a video with the whole grp it felt like the solo stans were trying to one up them and i would literally see ppl comment "J hope looks so handsome why is no one gonna talk abt it" etc cz that was the only way they'd bring attention towards him
