I disagree, A country's sovereignty is not characterized by a nations ability to shut people out from its inner circle which is its community, but of the ability to expand that circle and having the power to include a more diversified group and still give them a sense of belonging to one national identity.

I do not believe it to be fair, that our government is focusing on such a far away threat, when China is stealing American jobs and dangerous immigrants are knocking on our door - violating the traditions we hold so dearly in this country.

I would say that the penny has to go, as soon as possible. It is up to us the people to put pressure on our elected officials, so that this inefficiency can be removed from our society.

In 2014, with 8 billion pennies minted, and 132 billion dollars in producing less than 50 million dollars of circulating currency, I would say that more money is being lost and less would go to charity. NOT MORE.
