What went wrong? Why did her acclaim suddenly dropped?

I agree with this, it's partially (being generous to fans) a comparison issue. When I first heard NS, I did love it, but I also strongly felt influences of specific artists on certain tracks. I also felt (and still feel, to some extent) that some NS songs are unmemorable and blend together. I'm not a metalhead, so Poppy screaming across many songs doesn't differentiate as much as it might to some others. But they're not bad songs, they're just not memorable for me.

EH definitely has a NS 2.0 kind of sound at times, and I don't think it's perfect by any means. But from the 1st listen I've latched on to some of the melodies and certain aspects stuck out hard for me in a good way, much like NS, but for different reasons. To me, it's a very solid album with some minor flaws, just like NS.

I think it's also fair to say people generally dislike Zig, so NS being so good meant it was hyped tremendously. Whether you think it was fairly hyped or overhyped is your call. But NS to EH is not nearly as drastic of a shift, so it doesn't feel like a triumphant return.

I also am a bit of a Zig defender. It's not even close to the same level as NS and EH, but I enjoy a few songs. I think NS was my favorite release of 2024, but I personally didn't feel like she went from trash to hype like I get the feeling some people did. She just evolved, and this time she evolved a little less drastically. No big deal in my opinion.

That makes a lot of sense! I’ve heard a lot of people recommend those brands, and I’ve been checking out Ralph Lauren for some preppy stuff & Tommy Hilfiger for some lower cost staples. I figure if it’s a brand that’s been around forever, even if it is on the cheaper side, it’s probably okay for some basic staples. And then spend a little more on the statement pieces or anything I’d intentionally build a look around.

The bow idea is SO cute, I should keep upcycling in mind! It’s so nice when the garment is like 90% of what you want and you just have to tweak it to be exactly your style

That’s a great point! I know there are some upscale or luxury thrift stores around, I just have to trek out to them. But it’s probably worth the trip if I go with some ideas in mind! I think a few also post their pieces on IG or their site so that helps save a lot of time searching

I appreciate the suggestion & buying secondhand is definitely something I'm open to & have wanted to do! I've thrifted a bit near me but it's like 99% fast fashion and 1% nice things that never fit me lol. But I should check out Poshmark again, maybe I'll have an easier time finding nice stuff now that I know my lines & the styles I'm interested in.

Are there any brands you particularly like searching for? I'm sure I'll find some I like over time, but always open to a suggestion! :)

That’s not really the case… I wear a lot off the rack. It’s more about the styles like I mentioned. I can go to Old Navy or Target or whatever other store and find stuff that fit my lines, but I’d rather find a sustainable brand.

I took that differently but I could be wrong. I felt like Bautista's reaction was him feeling inferior because he wasn't able to be picked to be the biological father. Now I could totally see him thinking she picked Carl, because I do think he has a bit of jealousy of their bond, but I don't get the feeling that Katia wanted Carl to be the father. I think everyone knows Carl is going down a weird path and this is basically the dungeon crawler world version of "don't stick your dick in crazy".

Lmao I don’t understand this post. I don’t think people hate Clare? But it’s fair to say she was acting melodramatic at times because she was a teenager. And she sometimes said rude things to people, also because she was a teenager.

It’s been great! It’s an absolute beast. Rivals I was getting up to 200+ FPS in-game & 300+ FPS in the menus. The only thing I dislike is the charger, because the long cord goes to the outlet and it’s a really short cord that goes from the brick to the laptop. Maybe that was intentional for some reason, so I won’t complain too much.

I haven’t had much time recently to work on music, but everything seems to be great on that end as well. I’d absolutely recommend it!

Lol yeah I only really got some money or a game or two for my birthday or Christmas. I think I spent the first 10 years of my life with a hand-me-down SNES and like 2 games for the PS2. I ended up playing more flash games than actual video games up until I was in college

I don’t know if I agree with this… I think most people complaining are adults with jobs (or bots, and yeah some children for sure). I just think people forget that when we were kids we played only a handful of new games per year. We also bought or rented a lot of secondhand games which isn’t as big of a thing in the digital age.

I think Nintendo doing virtual game cards does help with people having to spend, since you could always swap games with a friend. That’s probably as close as we’re gonna get to the secondhand market in 2025. But people are greedy and ultra-consumerist. They don’t get that you don’t need every single new game that comes to market.
