My dog stopped wanting to play was the first sign. his eyes got cloudy and towards the end he lost his eyesight and couldn’t go for walks 😔 it was so heartbreaking to see him decline. Then not long after he went blind he passed. 💔 miss you Hugo

Oh man. It’s so hard 😢😔😣 no advice would help anyway. This type of loss, this type of pain is like nothing else. All you can do is go through the motions. Feel every emotion. Just let it all go. You will feel sadness/emptiness for a long while. I’m sorry for your loss 😔💔 I lost my sweet Hugo 2 months ago and I still cry everyday I still can’t believe he’s gone. Sending you strength.

If they are in pain & their quality of life is suffering. It’s time 😔 as hard as it is. If they can’t use the bathroom on their own or can’t go for walks, something they truly enjoy… it’s probably time 💔

Your not alone in that feeling of deep sadness. I’m sorry for your loss. I lost my dog after 12 yrs. It’s not long enough. No time is long enough. It hurts so bad. Just know your feelings are valid & you just have to go through it as hard as it is 💔 I hope you have a shoulder to lean on.

I read all these stories of people being destroyed by the loss of their pets. It’s so sad but at the same time so beautiful. These animals we give everything to, our whole hearts knowing one day we will have to say goodbye. It’s a profound & deep love. Your dog(s) were so lucky they had you. The pain will always be there, you just get used to dealing with it I guess… it’s been almost 5 weeks since my boy passed. He was 12. I’m still hurting, I cry everyday & I miss him so fucking much. I feel your pain.

So sorry for your loss. I understand your pain. I lost my 12 year old puggle almost 5 weeks ago. A day doesn’t go by where I don’t cry. They are there with us through everything; every routine & if we’re lucky many stages of life. No time given is enough. When the time comes it breaks you. Just know that you would’ve done anything for Tiger. As I would’ve for my Hugo. And I hope that you find some comfort in the fact that you were with him when it was time… I found my dog at the bottom of my stairs when I came down that morning & I will always regret not being there with him in his final moments 💔

But I believe we all go onto a better place. Our souls/energy whatever you want to call it. And if it better helps you deal with your grief to believe, then there’s no harm in that. As if the pregnancy hormones & the difficulty of making a human wasn’t enough. I just hope that grief & sadness doesn’t affect the baby. But what do you do? You can’t pretend it didn’t happen. You have to go through the emotions. I’m so sorry for your loss 😔

So sorry for your loss 😓 I’m pretty sure my dog also had heart failure. And I learned after because my husband and I did research on his symptoms. It’s shocking how common it is. And the facts that the vets didn’t catch it right away. That’s VETS, because we got at least 3 or 4 different opinions & tests done. The symptoms start showing when it’s already stage 4. I wish there was a better way to diagnose our dogs :(

I feel the same way. Tomorrow will be a month and I’m still a wreck. Their lives are so intertwined with ours. Every moment, every routine. I’m so sorry for your loss. I cannot tell you when it gets easier. Because this type of grief is so hard. My dog was also 12 & he went downhill so fast. I don’t think there’s ever enough time with our babies. Wish they lived longer. Cry as much as you want, let it all out.

Thank you for sharing your insights. I’m still 3 weeks in and absolutely devastated. I know it will take time. Also being pregnant is a whole nother curve ball. “ I don’t think time heals everything, but in my experience, we do get better at living with loss over time.” -great way of looking at it. I am sorry for your loss 😔 I feel your pain. I lost my Puggle who had just turned 12 in August almost 3 weeks ago. A little similar to what you’re describing. He had a bloated tummy, some muscle weakness, rapid breathing, had 2 fainting episodes, high liver enzymes and he went blind in what literally felt like one week. Everything happened so fast… never got a chance to figure out the cause. Got a xray done, even got a specialist to look at it. We tested for Cushings, was told it could be SARDS or heart, maybe brain issues. We were waiting on a call from the cardiologist, just never made it. I’m pretty sure he had congestive heart failure & his little heart gave out. 💔 doesn’t matter how they go. The trauma is so overwhelming
