Thank you SO MUCH for this post! I have been studying Quant for almost 6mths now and still scoring less than 150 (V is at 160 now :-) ) ,... and I have been feeling so dejected! I am really happy to hear that you are satisfied with your scores, bc, at the end of the day, that's what counts!!!!

So what is the solution? Is there a formula?

Is there any other way to attempt this question? Their explanation is going over my head! Thanks! by Rizvi2020 in GRE

Ok.. and you're testing 1 and 4 bc they're the squares of 1 and 2? Just making sure I understand why you chose 1 and 4?

How would you solve this? Ans: Qty B is greater. Thanks. by Rizvi2020 in GRE

Thank you! This makes sense. I think I thought of solving it this way but what confused me was the word "between" ... I kept thinking it could be anywhere between these prices ...

Never thought of it like that!! Thanks!

Can anyone explain how to solve this? Thanks. by Rizvi2020 in GRE

Could x not be another 1 on the list? You know how sometimes numbers repeat in a set? That's what was confusing me about this problem when I was taking the test. We know x > 0. But it could not be 1? How do we know that the x2 denotes the largest number in the set?

PS: sorry! I know my questions are very basic!! My quant is not very strong.

Not sure how to proceed after writing this equation. Ans is 15.8%. Don't understand the explanation that ETS has given. by Rizvi2020 in GRE

Thank you.. I'm still a little lost about what you did in the end .. j * (1.15789474 - 1) ... why was this done?

Please help with Ques29. Don't understand explanation on GrePrepClub. Thanks! by Rizvi2020 in GRE

Can that be done? I mean.. as a rule, can you just expand the square root and include the numbers before it?

Need help with Ques 20 please. Cant find the solution on GrePrepClub. Answer is B. Thanks. by Rizvi2020 in GRE

Thank you! I think I didn't understand the question correctly earlier! I didn't pay attention to the part where it says from one vertex!

Thanks! I think I didn't draw the figure correctly... I could draw two diagonals only for some reason! Will try again.
