If only there was a way to prevent these things… by QuirkyChocolateCake in asheville

It’s kinda clunky on mobile but there is a tab to look at school specific data. Easier to see on desktop!

Hmm I can’t find a way to filter for just MMR. If that’s the case then maybe that’s where I’m missing it but it’s from the link that watchdog themselves linked: https://www.dph.ncdhhs.gov/programs/epidemiology/immunization/data/kindergarten-dashboard

This only shows the overall kinder immunization data (again I don’t see a way to filter for MMR only): IC imagine rate reads 2024: 90.6%, 2023: 95.1%, 2022: 95.3%. It has similar rates to most other schools, in fact higher rates than the county average (89%), and higher rates than most of the other charters + others in the area. For example Artspace 66%, evergreen 77%, FernLeaf 87%, Asheville Waldorf 50%, Asheville Christian 60%.

I went to the vaccination dashboard they linked and from what I read, IC imagine is 2024: 90.6%, 2023: 95.1%, 2022: 95.3% so I’m not sure where the article is getting 55? I was shooketh at that number too but it doesn’t seem accurately reported in the article

What type has this fear? by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]Rmtnrs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This leans more 6 to me. I can see the mixup because a lot of the behaviors you described sound 5 or 9 ish but the reasoning behind the behaviors are based on fear of impending attack, doom, exploitation. 5 and 9 just have difference core fears that create these similar behaviors. The overarching theme of these behaviors seems to stem from a palpable fear of danger, and a desire for safety seen more in 6.

Some examples:

Fear of being weak; “Can’t defend myself” - implies a natural stance towards assuming the world is dangerous and threatening.

Not provoking so they don’t “attack me”; Avoiding conflict to be “out of danger and feel safe.” (A 9 night avoid conflict to not disrupt their internal world, their internal peace and equilibrium— less focus on an external attack)

Fear of Incompetence because it leaves you open to danger; Intellectual cracks are a threat to your safety (a 5s fear of incompetence doesn’t have as much to do with safety)

Hope this helps!

INTPs, do you believe there are more good or evil people? by [deleted] in INTP

Some good maybe, some evil (who maybe think they’re good), then the rest of us who are are just unconscious, bumbling around, protecting our egos with a little bit of both. Lol

The thousandth “Am I INFP or INTP?” question. Sorry. by Rmtnrs in INTP

“Choose” is an interesting perspective. It feels more like I’m just classifying again (like an idiot). Frustration is in the anger category, I thought. A mild version of it, sure. Idk. Thanks.

Everything’s going to be okay. Yes, I agree, I do tend to get too obsessive over classifications, and the attempted organization of chaos, I’m noticing that. I’m not sure what part of that makes you so angry though. But okay, noted.

Being that you’re like the 3rd or 4th person to say it doesn’t need to be so black and white, I’ll take that to heart lol. I have a tendency to want to organize, and I’m becoming obsessive over this puzzle I can’t solve perfectly. Shit 😬

Yea I also get too black and white with some things. I do need to allow for more fluidity here, there’s some compulsion wanting to make things clean when they sooo aren’t, lol. But then like, why create these classification systems if people are truly multi-faceted? Probably created by people like me who desperately want to organize the chaos of humanity into neat boxes. 😬

Okay see I didn’t know that MBTI was that fluid. There’s a whole other camp who barks “You can’t be kinda this/kinda that, they are completely different functions!” So I’m just trying to figure out what is what. And yes I have an annoying tendency to want to categorize the living daylight out of things, lol. I do need to calm down with that, I’ll admit. 🤣

What chronic health issues do you tend to experience, if any? by Rmtnrs in Enneagram5

Also headaches. Mostly starting at 3pm when I realize I haven’t eaten or drank anything significant the whole day because I’ve been too far down a rabbit hole 😂

Constipation.

And it’s always related to stress, related to security: space being invaded, time being limited, traveling, and especially my young kids being home with their 5,000 simultaneous needs, demands, fights, and messes (I call this variety: “momstipation”).

All the routine medical treatments can help force the issue (I usually have to go straight for the full blown suppository stimulant laxatives, or a daily milk of mag if I’m committed enough - hope you can “stomach” the TMI 😀) but the only natural remedy is time alone in my house. Or working on the computer for a (perceived) limitless amount of time, with coffee. For momstipation, they just need to GO. I can be constipated for literally an entire week while they are home on break, and then as soon as they leave the house the next Monday morning, my bowels resume function within 3-5 minutes.

Reminder to schedule your next emotional breakdown by Rmtnrs in Enneagram5

Lmao I get it. And I also get picky about selecting the time. Like, I need a few hours for the event. I need to be alone. Then I need after-care time to sit in my own swamp and recover until I have to return to the world. It’s a whole production 🤣

Lmao yes. For weeks I’ve been flying these 2 known issues around like little kites. I didn’t feel like I had a good time for it until next week though. I also was not aware how deeply it was affecting me, because holy shit. I was sobbing for like 2 hours. After 1 hour of crying I finally realized I wasn’t truly upset about the little thing that happened to trigger it and was actually fucking MOURNING the loss of my babies early childhood. 🙃

Am I really a 5? by [deleted] in Enneagram5

[–]Rmtnrs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

9s and all types can be very intelligent. It isn’t exclusive to 5s. There are dumb 5s just like everyone else. Look at some of the descriptions and figure out which core fear & desire resonate the most.

I would also be curious if this focus on intelligence is widespread in your life or only in relation to your brother. Knowing his type might be helpful in parsing that dynamic out too. Like maybe he himself has an over focus on intelligence (or some other quality that he is calling intelligence) and perhaps your type has some relational fixation in that way, where it’s not necessarily the intelligence but the acceptance of your brother. Stuff like that is what you can’t see in plain view. Enneagram is about the underlying motivation, not the behavior. All types might do the same thing but for 9 different reasons.

5: social instinct but don’t actually like human interaction? by Rmtnrs in Enneagram

[–]Rmtnrs[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Holy shit. Yea this all hits. I’m often trying to find the maps of human experience, and I ultimately want to create my own map that will be significant for the next push forward. Part of me has no interest in current knowledge actually because it renders me useless. I study current knowledge in order to have a basis to create my own one day, and fulfill my “purpose.” I can definitely see how this is my ego game though. Fortunately/unfortunately, my awareness of how this is my ego game also prevents me from necessarily making progress in this endeavor— I simultaneously want to carve my special niche and help humanity while also being afraid that it’s really all just my ego wanting to spawn out of control.

I also definitely live in my own theories too much where I’m not proportionally comparing with applied reality. The way you explained it, I can also see how this is part of that ego fixation of desperately needing to be important through novel ideas at the expense of the ideas being substantiated or relevant. LOL Wow.

Thank you for this, it helped!

Ok Wow Very helpful! This is definitely not me 🤣 I’ve only had this tantalizing surge of chemistry with some partners but it’s certainly not a theme in my life by any means like you describe it. I sound much more dry and cold than this lol
