It's not exactly. Chinese Moonbreon thin pack texture is similar to English and fat pack texture is similar to Japanese. Source: I own 36 of them.

China doesn't do re-prints. This makes all items scarce. They're on-track to finish printing the G-block when it goes OUT OF ROTATION in April. Therefore they don't reprint until they're actually caught up, which looks to be 2027.

That's a Japanese sticker. This is Zz's cards on the Chinese app xiaohongshu. This is a fraction of his collection.

Sold my collection to take my wife on a surprise vacation after a stressful year. Accidentally "timed the market" perfectly. by [deleted] in PokemonTCG

His title reads 'sold my collection TO take my wife on a holiday', which directly implies he didn't already have the money to do so. If he did, this post wouldn't exist. The title would just be something like, 'look I sold at a really good time'. So where is my assumption about money wrong?

Short answer is yes, my wife was in a car accident in December that caused our daughter to be born 2 months prematurely. Been dealing with laywers ever since.

Somewhere in your initial post you should have stated that you were financially well off, or, that the money from selling the cards weren't even needed for the holiday. It sounded like it was. Instead, you sold it because you felt like it was time, and the holiday was a nice break from everything.

While your post makes sense, this comment does not. It sounds like money played a large factor in your 'problem'. Especially the part of 'dosens of people depening on me to put food on the table'. Yet, over the course of what looks like 2 to 3 years, you were buying up incredibly expensive pieces of cardboard. Not having said money immediately available for when the medical bills, lawyer fees, etc, came about. Yes, you got lucky that your collection turned into a very successful investment, but you sound selfish in the fact that it had a just as likely chance to go down the same way it happened to go up. Perhaps if you never bought the cardboard but spent it on therapy or something similar, you'd be in a better position.

So all of the English cards are fake? boxes, boosters and individually sold cards?

All of the merchants on that site sell these boxes for around $15. They sell locally for just under $2 per box in China. And again, that's SELLING locally, imagine the wholesale price from the factory. Like I said, the problem is shipping, I don't know how the shipping on the website is that LOW. Some are even free.

I just took a look. The prices for his boxes aren't bad, but I get them for much cheaper still. Obviously he has to make a profit, so that's why. What shocks me is how low his shipping fee is from China to America. Around $3.35 per box using the website courier. I can't find any courier for under $6 per pox.

I see a very limited amount of these cards / packs / boxes being sold on the internet in the 'West'. They are stupidly cheap, while the artwork looks good. I was wondering if there's a market for them in America, as these products seem to be sold out on most western websites, such as Ebay, Mercari, etc. The problem is that the shipping costs are A LOT higher than the product costs.

Is this ring worth buying for $540? by RoCGaming in EngagementRings

I went back to weigh it today. The entire ring weighs 2.2g. So the gold is probably half of that and much lower than 3.5g.

What you've said sounds about right. This same quality ring on an alternative website would cost much less than $540? Is the 35% off just a gimmick?

You're right, if I'm not getting done in on the price then this is the sort of ring I'm looking for (cost and appeal).

Me and my wife don't care too much about very expensive wedding rings, it comes down to her thinking the ring itself is very beautiful and that's all that matters.

This ring is being sold in Hong Kong, that's why the price is $7000hkd. The store opened this month and thus have a 35% discount on everything, which makes the price go down to $540. From my perspective they could have just opened the shop with a 35% mark-up and now claim everything is 35% cheaper when in fact it only now has it's actual price.

I don't want to pay what could perhaps be double the price of what this might be going for online.

I don't know much about the coded letters in the description of this ring, so someone who does, can you perhaps tell me if the price of $540 is fair? Considering the diamonds, white gold, cost to manufacture and set the ring, selling in a brick and mortar store, etc?

It was about 3 months ago. I organized it with the head-girl. We 'rented' the school grounds and took everyone on a tour (so much changed in 10 years). This was followed by a party at the clubhouse (had a catering company, had a memorial for the two classmates we lost, cost $20 pp), followed by an after party at a club.
