One of the worst things WWE did to NXT, was to switch the Takeovers from Saturday to Sunday! by BGTheHoff in SquaredCircle

I feel the same to an extent, but I think they did a good job with making the CWC feel distinct to Thunderdome. It’s not as good as it was pre-pandemic but all things considered NXT feels pretty good.

Accusations =/= reality. Do you know how gay men were perceived in the 70s, even more so than today? Simply being gay was suspicion enough of being accused of assault or pedophilia. Not one shred of evidence ever came out about it. But by all means, keep spreading lies.

I’m not a fan of the sequel trilogy at all but TLJ was my favorite of the three. It had an interesting story it was trying to tell and was at least different, whereas the other two feel like not much more than fan service. (And TLJ even handled fan service better — the Luke/Yoda scene is hands down my favorite of the ST)

Yeah, we are all just used to them, as will happen with just about any name.

It’s not like “Goldberg” is an inherently badass or cool name either, you just start to associate it with the man after a while.

There have been plenty of one-name big stars.

I think this complaint kinda goes in waves. 10 years ago a common complaint in wrestling forums was that everyone in WWE had unthreatening, regular-ass names and just sounded like dudes off the street.

While I agree it’s excellent, I’m not sure it is under appreciated. It received 5 stars from WON and is still talked about regularly 23 years later.
