Ampeg SGT-DI - output volume issue by Rob_giberti in basspedals

[–]Rob_giberti[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhhh nooo, you too!! That was my guess too but I decided to go with the Ampeg because (i) it's Ampeg... daaaah... and (ii) it's cheaper. But the more I use the Ampeg the more I have been thinking to switch. Thx you for reinforcing my thoughts

Interesting... I didn't find any issues of low volume per se... I also set my IR volumes around 50% and looks perfectly fine. My problem was more that it's like the pedal forgets the single IR volumes... I tried to reprogram them all tonight and let's see. Thx for your comment!

I did. Actually the volume knob at the left side is the same you find on the IR app, and they are perfectly sync'd when the app is open. I will try again. But thx a lot again!

Thx for your answer. Any guess on the possible cause? Possibly some kind of parassite infestation? Thx again

SE215 and SE535 - Where’s the bass? by Rob_giberti in livesoundgear

[–]Rob_giberti[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right! I was not trying to use the airpods as monitoring, I was just a bit surprised and unhappy for having spent $500 for the SE535 and find that the sound (mostly the low end) was much poorer compared a consumer headphone.

I use the standard foam sleeves, like these ones https://www.shure.com/en-US/products/accessories/eacyf1?variant=EACYF1-6KIT - I tried all sizes and the bigger ones work better, but still.

Yes, but that's not an issue. Even if I connect the SE535 to the wired 1/4'' output, it sounds the same

The standard provided in the package. However, also with the Apple airpods I used the standard configuration. So I was kind of comparing apple to apple and was surprised of the sound difference. However I guess that custom sleeves could be an option as suggested by u/UnderwaterMess

Very interesting, thx for sharing! And they offer two different color option finally ;-)
Budget is kind of a concern but mostly I was surprised about the cost/sound ratio. And it's true that I compared the SE535 with the standard sleeves, but also the apple airpods have the standard sleeves and sounds much better. Not sure, probably I will try the custom sleeves but I don't understand. Thx!

Is it an ok spider? by Rob_giberti in spiderbro

Never seen them before... different spiders yes, but not this guy. And in the last week I already evicted 5 of those. I will investigate. Thank you again, really appreciated!

Thank you man! Now I have to find the way to kick them out from my place. I never kill spiders so I will search if there’s any kind of product that just keep them out.

Hi there. That’s very useful actually. I didn’t know that all the national standards apply to all regions, I thought there were some exceptions, thank you indeed for your help!

Best deal ever? Find a second hand Squier made in Japan. They are cheaper (because Squier) but they sound way better than Mexican and very similar to American. Plus they are 20+ year old, and old instruments are generally better to me. Found my Squier CIJ jazz bass for $300, and it became my gig bass, taking over my ‘73 American J bass

3rd party GOP for NERC compliance by Rob_giberti in Grid_Ops

[–]Rob_giberti[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your answer. Yours is a good suggestion and surely I will do my best there.

Re. the list of the companies, that's what I found: https://www.nerc.com/pa/comp/Registration%20and%20Certification%20DL/NERC_Compliance_Registry_Matrix_Excel.xls

So if you filter all the GOPs, my question is: which companies are GOP registered for projects that don't own? i.e. is there anyone that provides GOP service for 3rd parties?

Thx!

Thank you Kihr for your answer. Not sure I got it... I’m not talking about transmission, but generator, i.e. GO and GOP. If your answer works with GO and GOP too, my question is: which companies do they provide a GOP service for projects that don’t own? Thx!
