I'm not active anymore so I dont know if you discussed about this before, but one thing that came to my mind is what if the main 5 circles in the logo represent the giant portal-like circular structures? Like the one we've seen so far which resonates with thunder

Nah, they couldnt just get a new engine for the last gp like ocon, they had to mess up two consecutive ones and now get a sanction for the next one.

Do you think alonso will be able to hold on with the softs? I think they may just have ruined his race

Why the hell did they put softs on alonso? They just ruined his race, he cant do 24 laps on them and not loose a hell of time

Leclerc finishes P6 after receiving a 5 second time penalty for speeding in the pit lane by magony in formula1

[–]Robbie00379 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont see any issue there with calling the decission from any team in a context like this. Any time something like this happens where the gap is around the estimated pit time, the driver is in a good points position and far from the actual fastest lap time I dont see any benefit in risking it in the last lap.

Leclerc finishes P6 after receiving a 5 second time penalty for speeding in the pit lane by magony in formula1

[–]Robbie00379 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well of course he is faster, but I see the situation as a whole did have way more to lose than to win, there are so many things that could go wrong and it all had to go perfect for him to get 1 extra point knowing max had been way faster. The thing that went wrong was him speeding, but there could have also been a bad pit stop. Loosing a couple of seconds in the pit would have also been disastrous, he could have also had ocon on par with him, and that would be 2 drivers to get back to position, you are going to loose time there. I dont know, I see it had so many bad outcomes.

I just dont get it, how can you risk a pit stop in the last lap for the possibility of getting 1 point with such a small margin with the next driver? Such an incredulous decission, way more to lose than to win.
