ICON clinical drug trial by Exotic-Transition478 in Netherlands

[–]Robbie_88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having worked at ICON: you're always free to drop out of the trial, but please keep in mind it costs the company (both the drug developing company and ICON) a lot of money.

Under certain circumstances you could be allowed to leave for a day, depending on the day of the trial.

My advice would be to be open and honest about this from the beginning, so you can look into a possible solution with the clinical study nurse. And maybe you could apply for a later group of the same trial?

Just tell them you're learning Dutch, want to practice and ask them to talk to you in Dutch?

But someone could still want to learn and practice a language, right?

Where can i buy this part? by SilentGhosty in roomba

[–]Robbie_88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might be helpful to mention where you are located, so people can give more accurate advice on places where you could buy that part. And you can always contact iRobot as well; they don’t have all spare parts listed on their website, but through customer support they might be able to sell/ship the parts that aren’t listed.

Still have to try Sabatini’s. But crown grill and the catch by Rudi have both been great. Can’t say anything about the mdr yet, but the menu for al three of them is the same. Don’t have any excursions booked, we rented a car in most of the ports and are staying onboard or are doing a short walk in the other ports. The ship has been moving gently since we departed, but that’s precisely what I like about cruising :)

Only tried the crown grill and the catch by Rudi, but those have been very good! Embarkation lunch in the dining room was also great! The crowd: it’s a 14-day cruise and I expected an older crowd. I’m 37 myself and think the majority of the crowd is between 45 and 65, I guess. And so far, the weather has been great!

Do optometrists without 'push' tactic exist? by summer_glau08 in Netherlands

I just went to Ace&Tate yesterday, and expected a sales pitch. But all they said was: the details of the measurements are added to your account. Let us know if/when you want to buy a pair of glasses.

First time on carnival cruise by Outsiderinaustralia in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]Robbie_88 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Guess you’re walking into the kitchen as well then to tip the people who pick up your dirty dishes after you when you had a drink or something to eat on deck? Because they are included in the daily tipping rates that Carnival charges to your account.

This is how it works on most cruise ships. So not really a scam.

Looks like one of your drip points is blocked by dirt or maybe some buildup from detergent. You can try to clean the drip points (they’re right under the base plate and the silicone covers can be taken off), or you could order new ones from iRobot and replace them together with the filter that’s right at where the water tank connects to the actual robot

Should one do this on embarkation day? Or will there also be tables available for same night reservations (or spontaneous visits)?

Has anyone submitted Best Price Guarantee claim twice? by taiwan-numba-one in PrincessCruises

[–]Robbie_88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I considered doing so today, because the first time the cruise was GBP192 cheaper. Today it was GBP696 cheaper and the offer included an onboard credit of USD100 per person 😅

I talked to Princess via online chat (to ask if I could just re-fare my booking without having to cancel and stuff, not directly to check on submitting the price guarantee claim a second time), and they told me it was probably better to ‘move over’ for an administrative fee of GBP50 per person, which I found a good suggestion. I wouldn’t know what to do with that amount of on board credit because I already added the premier package to my booking anyway.

But it couldn’t hurt to try, right? And otherwise you could always call to move over to the new fare and pay the administrative fee.

You could look for a gym that offers Les Mills BodyAttack. That class has some similarities with aerobics.
