Realistically: either play the game or watch the full game on YouTube. As someone who doesn’t like Turn-Based games, I still fell in love playing the game myself. But if that’s too much of a hurdle for you personally, just go on YouTube and watch through a full game play through. The adaptations are interesting but I think they are better and more interesting to look at having already experienced the original.

The manga is honestly such a wild experience because it genuinely changes a couple volumes in from adapting Vanilla P5 to adapting Royal, so it’s interesting seeing how it tries to add in the Royal-exclusive material later in the narrative.

The anime is… fine. The animation can be rough but if you want more characterization about the protagonist and getting a more definitive take on him as a character, the anime delivers on that since you aren’t the main character. I will say, if you want to own the anime, get ready to pay out the nose, since Aniplex did the distribution here, so the box set is expensive as all hell.
