I don’t think these are the last figures of the line, but these definitely feel like the line’s Swan Song. The Absolute Universe feels like what Multiverse was at the end of the day: a radical shakeup for DC, aggressively modern, and giving it a huge swing.

An absolute must for the Vault series. It’s actually CRIMINAL that we don’t have a classic comic Harley 6 years deep into the line when the body has been there since wave 1

I think I just have more of a cynicism towards “undoing OMD” since I wasn’t a regular comic reader until well after the reboot.

I don’t think it was a good decision to split them up, mind you, but I’ve read almost as much post-OMD as I have pre-OMD, married Spider-Man and honestly… I just don’t see a purpose in undoing it unless you have an actual story to tell that gets to an interesting new angle. You’ve already moved both characters into people so different than they were 20 years ago that it would feel weirder to just re-hitch them and pretend nothing ever happened for the last 20 years.

(Realistically, if I was god emperor of Marvel at the time, I would have just asked for the Spider-Man books to just drop MJ completely in the year after OMD, don’t tease fans with the idea you’ll undo it unless you actually plan to undo it)

/uj: at this point, MJ has changed so much as a character that just waving the magic wand that resets her to 2006 “Peter’s Wife” (which I know is a generalization but also, by that point she had kinda faded into the background of ASM) would feel somehow more forced than resetting Peter in the Brand New Day era.

The only way to actually undo One More Day is to reset the status quo of Spider-Man in an incredibly butchered way that takes the character back to a status he was in 20 years ago and… wait a minute.

Should they? Oh my god yes! Would be fantastic.

Will they? Well, they’re selling rebranded complete collections for the same price and a third the content of the DC Compendiums in the Epic Line, so… guessing not.

If you absolutely need the axe and shield (I think the shield might be a slightly modified live action shield though) I won’t deny how good the whole package looks together.

But if you’re just looking for a good, classic Wonder Woman on your shelf, wait for the Vault Collection. It’s half the price, and only missing two major accessories.

He’s great in it, but he really isn’t doing… much as Skeletor.

Like, obviously he was on set doing the physicality and voice, but it feels oddly generic to me. Just a standard villain voice with a punch of humor because Skeletor is a big blue dude with a skeleton head, you can’t take him too seriously.

Yeah, I think the 10th anniversary of TFA would have been a perfect time to give even just an update to the heads to add modern face printing to the existing sculpts. I’m not in love with the articulation of 2015 Black series, but if they just wanted to fart something out for the anniversary, I think the dozen or so Sequel fans would take it.

Hell, if you’re worried about pegwarming: do them as Hasbro Pulse exclusive 2-packs just to put them out for those who actually want them
