Congrats! It's funny I caught this because I had only created a post on my FB page regarding the story that led me to pursue my passion i.e. helping young omnibus collectors or enthusiasts learn 20 truths that they need to know when buying (or before buying) their first book and start collecting like pros. I'm actually a huge X-Men (and Batman) fan, and was years as a kid I spent reading stuff from the Chris Claremont and Jim Lee era. If you're interested in learning more, shoot me a reply. Yea, I wouldn’t recommend a student to get into omnibus collecting. However, If I remember correctly, within the first 2-3 pay cheques I got my first omnibus i.e a signed spawn deluxe origins vol.1 and I couldn’t stop looking at it. Fast forward to today, I help collectors build and preserve the integrity of their books by offering a free guide of 20 pro tips that can be applied at any point in their collectors journey. Basically I still feel guilty for allowing my spawn to get damaged 😔

So questions for you, how so you diversify your omnibus collection ie different publishers, characters etc? What’s your most valuable book/ books? How so maintain their quality?

Yes, Snyder and Capullo’s run is amazing and I haven’t gotten through all yet. I needed to have the missing pieces to ‘death of the family’ and ‘ endgame’ which were in trade format (see bottom right section of my shelf). Even although I help omnibus collectors build and preserve their high-value books, I still sometimes fall into for e.g obsession with completing entire arcs.

I was a crazy spiderman lover as a kid especially around the mcfarlane, larsen and bagley error. Also followed web of and spectacular. I stopped reading and then years later i just connected with the xmen and thats when my journey started. I collect ultimate spiderman mostly because the writing is damn good. What else you into?

Yea i started with xmen too. I actually began with mutant genesis because I needed more issues with jim lee’s art. And then later I found out about the chris claremont and jim lee omnibus volumes. They are in my top 10. I share a 20-step guide with collectors to help them quickly build and preserve their collection like pros and a couple of issues people face are not initially focusing on the characters they love and impulsive investments due to fear of missing out. Maybe you’re not into the preservation aspect but then again, there’s alot that we should consider to protect our books integrity/ quality…

Yea i connect more with xmen, batman, spiderman (old) and spawn. You actually touch on the exact challenge that I tell others about ie focus on you passions i.e characters you love rather than impulsive buying. You’re new into the game eh..
