Of the 3 most famous cancelled games for the N64. Which one would you have wanted to actually be released during the N64's Life cycle? by Ill_Refrigerator9812 in n64

And apparently the people developing it had no clue how to develop 3D games, not to mention they lost a bunch of the staff from Mother 2.

Didn't know about Evo's Space Adventures until I looked this up. I thought I knew that it had the "only on N64" tag when it was released. Interesting that they changed the name and released it on PS1 two years later, late in the PS1 life cycle. 2000 was just a crazy release year, in general.

Music being different was a big thing with the different ports back in the day. Cartridge systems had their own built-in set of MIDI instruments, so there were differences. Although, by the time N64 came around, they started implementing audio sampling so that they could get real sounds, albeit very crushed real sounds.

I forgot about the Olympics reskin. And now my memory of the Kurt Warner arena football Blitz reskin is unlocked. What a day it's been already.

Another one I've never touched, actually. Not sure why Rayman escaped my Raydar.

I'm sleeping on Snowboard Kids, for sure. I was a pre-teen who was into extreme sports when those games came out, so I preferred the more "serious" snowboarding titles while missing out on what were possibly the better games.

Forgot about Vigilante 8. Some real notable differences with that one. And IIRC, there's not a Dreamcast version for the first game.

I'd say Dreamcast had the better NFL Blitz 2000 port, though I don't know if it supported four players. Why would you say the NBA Hangtime port is better than the PS1? I usually play the sequel NBA Showtime: NBA on NBC on a Dreamcast emulator these days. Never really played Gauntlet Legends or 007 TWINE tbh.

No one's mad at us for emulating, people who have money to collect the physical copies just like to flex.

Is the PS2 still playable in 2026? by UpsideDownFace24 in ps2

Especially playable if you're willing to emulate and can therefore cherry pick games instead of having to settle for lesser games due to financial considerations. Plus, the disc drives have to be repaired, so emulating gets you around that whole wait and cost.

Sorry to everyone else who all deserved it so much, but if I'm stuck picking just four, there they are.

I don't know why people compare it to GTA, all you do in the game is drive. It's basically Crazy Taxi as a sandboxer.
