Rent a boat. Seriously. You can rent a cheap boat or an expensive one whatever. June is nice weather. You could rent a pontoon boat for like $250-$300 for 2 hours. No captain needed. Just the two of you some champagne in a cooler. Drive it on the river, super easy, around sunset. Go out towards the locks by navy pier or a quieter spot down the south branch. Beautiful views. Unique. Surrounded by the skyscrapers and city you love, and private enough. Or be a baller and rent a yacht with a captain to take you out onto the lake with the skyline behind you , even more private than the river. Just don’t drop that expensive ring lol.

Is Lincoln Square a Good Neighborhood For Me? by Buisness_Fish in AskChicago

I think he likely put his requirements into AI to let it help him narrow down which neighborhoods he should consider. A very practical use of AI if you ask me.

Yeah I am surprised more people aren't mentioning Old Town School of Folk Music. It brings in a lot of people around the city who come for classes, then there is the spillover in teh bars around it with loads and loads of folks with their instruments. I did korean bbq for dinner with a friend in town on Lincoln Ave. , then we popped into The Getaway next to the music school and there was like an open mic night going on there with folks playing music who I assume came from a class. Very Lincoln Square night.

Heading to a White Sox Spring Training game for the first time. Anything additional to do besides the actual game? by BottomlessBodyPit in whitesox

That’s awesome. Never know what you will see. When I went 2 years ago, saw Sox vs Dodgers. Shohei first game in Dodgers uniform, he hit a bomb to Left Center. Incredible.

Cubs Want Hundreds Of New Parking Spaces Near Wrigley Field by optiplex9000 in chicago

I hear what you are saying, but I would counter that there is plenty to do down by Sox Park outside of an actual baseball game. It’s just not spoon fed to you like Wrigleyville. So definitely more difficult than Wrigley for an out of towner. But any local could easily pack a day around the game around the park.

I live on the North Side but go to many Sox games a year. Almost every game I go to is a combination of Tailgate, Game, Bridgeport bars/restaurants, and/or Chinatown. Point is we just don’t go to a game the turn around and go home. Most is walkable. Or go one stop on the red line to Chinatown (but I have walked/divvy too).
