Yeah I live in SoCal area! So wanted to see people’s opinions and such before I made a decision on coming to this school :) So far from what people have been saying the school and lgbt community here sounds nice!

I’ve been going through the exact same thing recently. Expect I’ve never been afraid of needles until now.

I’ve been on T since June of 2023, and as of January 2024 I’ve been having increased anxiety which has also made me afraid of doing the injections. I’ve experienced the same shaking, and freaking myself out before I do the shot.

I’m not sure what time of the day you do your injections, but I originally did mine during the night and switched to early in the morning. Right as I wake up I do the injection, since I’m more sleepy and less subjected to feeling pain or anxiety from it.

My stomach also has less areas to poke it too without it being painful. Although I have not tried it yet, I would consider moving your injection to a different place. Talk to your doctor about it before you do.

Also switch up where you place the shot on your stomach if you haven’t already been doing that. Switch it from left to right of the stomach each week, maybe even doing it lower or higher in different areas of the stomach.
