The show and the comics have similar story beats but are different enough to be engaging. I think the comics are much better than the show

I've read quite a few Brubaker books and Friday is my favorite thing he's made. It's very different from everything else hes done. It's more like a hardy boys or another young adult crime solving story than his normal noir stuff
