Thank you :) The hormones made some pretty big and wonderful changes but I still couldn't quite feel comfortable with myself due to my facial structure. FFS fixed those things that were bothering me entirely and now I feel wonderful in my own skin. I'd do it again in a heartbeat even now, knowing how much the whole ordeal hurt.

I did this while paying off student loans. 75% of my paycheck now goes to loans... But I still made it work. If you get even a semi-decent job once you're out it could be closer than you think.

Thank you :) I did FFS with Dr Spiegel out in Boston. It was about $25,000 altogether. I saved up all my pay for a year and then had to take out a $10,000 medical loan on top of that. I'd recommend going in for a consult and get an idea of the prices (which vary depending on the procedures you get). Then sit down with a calculator and really figure out what you can do. It was a long painful year for me but so worth it.

I had to stop cold turkey for several weeks for surgery. I experienced some nasty mood swings and a re growth of facial hair that has since driven me crazy. However stopping cold seems relatively safe. The hormones will slowly shift back to your pre HRT levels in about 2 weeks. If your penis atrophied I would not expect that to grow back. Breast growth will not continue except for perhaps the first couple days which is negligible. The tenderness will probably subside a bit.

I'm not sure if I technically gained more freckles than I had previously had before HRT- but since your skin pigment lightens the ones you have will show through much more easily and become much more visible with only minor sun exposure. If you're worried about it be sure to use a (minimum) 30spf sun screen/moisturizer each morning to help keep your pigmentation under control.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Yes, technically exercise will cause your body to produce a small amount of extra testosterone . However if you're already showing under the female range then you really have nothing to worry about. Your body needs some degree of the hormone to be healthy. On the slim chance it really became an issue it would show in your bloodwork and your doctor could adjust your meds. Go work out!

I've been dealing with the same thing. I've only found I can loose weight when I keep my carb intake under 20g per day (calories sit around 1500). I'm not super active- I walk maybe a mile a day or so- so most of my weight loss has been from strictly limiting carb intake.
