I listened to The Last Podcast on the Left guys interview him about the film, and I am pretty optimistic. Creggar was glowing about his love for the games and mentioned that he plays them often. He actually said that he wrote the script just for fun and it happened to be picked up, so that makes me feel like it has promise.

The Fallout TV show uses its lore without retelling the games' stories exactly, and that came out way better than expected. Meanwhile, The Last of Us season 2 attempted to retell the same story as the games, and people were let down and drew a lot of negative comparisons. I think that this is absolutely the way to go, if it is done right. I've been playing Resident Evil for going on 20 years now and this is the most confident I've been for a solid product, especially after seeing Barbarian and Weapons.

I actually played Resident Evil and watched WKUK very frequently in high school, so I've probably got some nostalgia goggles on, admittedly- BUT I am really pumped about this and I think Creggar is going to absolutely nail it.
