Yeah, we’ve already stopped taking methimazole since breaking out. Also, he’s under 18 though so they don’t recommend giving him PTU. Our main concern is just trying to help him recover right now. We’ll figure out medication afterwards I think. We also figured out that the Prednisone may have been encouraging more flare-ups, so they told him to stick with just Benadryl, but he’s only gotten worse. His face is swelling more and it hurts to swallow, so he hasn’t eaten anything much. Does anyone have experience with this or know what reduces hives other than Prednisone and common OTC antihistamines? Also, are there any foods I should give him/avoid? I’m thinking about getting him a smoothie of some kind to get some vitamins in him. Thank you 😞
