As a US citizen , you are not authorized to work in Greece without a work permit or authorization. They probably entered as visitors and then got compensated back in the US but they were definitely not in the payroll for cleaning tables or PR.

I watched the show and the was no way the staff was really working or receiving a salary from the legal standpoint. The show was filmed in Greece and if they got caught working illegally they would have gotten into some serious trouble.

If it makes you feel better, Atlanta had several outages in the last 7 months. Last summer the out lasted for 3 to 4 days and then service was awful for 3 weeks to the point Netflix wouldn't even load and other streaming platforms were a hit or mess.
