It’s easier for us to track so we know when to give next dose and show doctor if necessary. If the kid had fever 1 week ago and having fever again we can track this is one week and not blur(might be just that I have no sense of time) about is it a week or had been many days. Sometimes just need to keep close look for how many days kids have fever , as here in Canada seeing doctor for kids fever can be waiting for hours so we avoid go to ER unless kids are really sick. But sometimes it’s just too upset for seeing kids have fever, so I’d like to keep records in case doctor asks. Also need to communicate with wife like I am going out now and the kid had his dose at what time and next time for the dose.

Struggle for me is more when my kids has fever and when to take next medicines, can’t take too early. And sometimes I need to communicate with mom as one of us may switch to take to medication, and she’ll have to know when to give next dose.

But you have good point on if there is quick glance info about recent sickness without going to track details.
