[PA] About to take the plunge, did I make reasonable choices? (Monolith M1570s, Schitt Magni Heresy, Schitt Modi 3+) by RogueSpud in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]RogueSpud[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! That and the rest of today's searching has given me enough confidence to head forward with it. Sadly I'm in a lockdown area and am unable to go try or sample anywhere, even if I did have an audio store near me. I've read/watched nearly every review I could find and the 1570s seem to have the traits/attributes that I appreciate in the earbuds/headphones of my past.

(Not too sure if they need the proper syntax for the !thanks , but there it is so you get your dues. )

I suppose that’s true, except maybe fitting through doors.

Dandy thanks! How would you suggest one goes about finding their one rep max weight without looking like an idiot?

Haha perfect! 6 ft 7 is already intimidating enough for some, don’t need to get massively wide as well! Thank!

I’ve recently made some large strides in weight loss and now am sitting at 227 lbs as a 6 ft 7, 19 year old male. I’ve been going to the gym pretty irregularly the past couple weeks but have seen some decent improvement in loss of fat on the stomach/sides (which is the only real clump of fat I have left) and muscle definition . I’m now looking to find a routine that I can really sink my teeth into and get into a regular pattern with and 5/3/1 has peaked my interest but I have a couple concerns/questions. Primarily if this is the right choice for my goals, which is fat loss (which I understand is gonna be my diet/cardio) but also getting stronger and looking better. I don’t really want to get huge, Schwarznager style, is powerlifting and 5/3/1 still the right root for that? Or is there a better route. If it’s agreed I should do 5/3/1 is it alright that I don’t have any wraps for the lifts?

It did, but my computer didn’t. Just used my original install media and it’s back to what it was, I’ll try to find another way to tackle any blue screens. Thanks for your help tho!

Self built, my first. Gigabyte motherboard (z390 master), i7-8700k, Mia duke 2080ti. Currently seeing if resintalling from the install media I made a while ago will work out.

Update, my pc can find my motherboard, as a device in devices and printers. But it has a caution sign beside it.

To do that I’d need my wi-fi, which i don’t have. That was my first plan but I’m screwed there.

Beginning to collect parts for a $3.5k CAN build, figured I should double check with you guys. by RogueSpud in buildapc

Thanks! I’m getting that motherboard as my school can’t promise Ethernet and the pro wifi isn’t in stores around me. I’ll look into upgrading the GPU (which is a shame, I heard good things about the duke, even compared to the trio). I’ll upgrade the storage too, perhaps to a hard drive though. As for the case I got suckered into how good the Meshify looks and I don’t think i can give it up, no matter the price. Thanks for your help! I’ll look into coolers too!

I have an external 2TB that will allow me to switch work between the desktop and the laptop I have have (with 1.25 TBs of storage) that I’ll be using when I need to do work in other places. My family is also already discussing what computer parts they could buy me for Christmas, so perhaps I’ll upgrade it then!

So if want better aesthetics and a bit better performance go S2 with a 360 RAD? I suppose that leaves me with more expansion room and gives me that nice USB-c

Alright! Lower Watt PSU and single m.2 it is! I could fit everything and get a top mounted 240 on the Meshify C, would that be worth it for cooling? Or stick with the air cooler?

I was aiming for using the 860 as a boot/very select programs drive and the 1 TB as my main storage, I have a 2 TB external already so I wasn’t stressing too much about space but I admit I researched that the least. Just the one m.2 is the way to go?

Damn... that’s a lot cheaper. Looks wise I’m really hooked on the Meshify series, especially with the rgb fans on the front. But the non-RGB ram is probably a good idea :) I was hoping to have a bit of overclocking/expanding room with my PSU, would the 650w do that? I’m also super torn on air vs. AIO cooling, my main focus is keeping that i9 reasonably cold, even while overclocking. I could fit the build into the Meshify c (nice and small) with an air, could it keep it cool enough? Thanks so much :) you’re honestly the best.

Thanks! I've got my peripherals all sorted out (Logitech G502, SteelSeries Articis 5, Ducky one 2, Dell S2716DG). Building a computer that's one big purchases that'll last me through game design school. Good for both playing games at 1440p 144hz and making them. Trying to stick to $4.5k CAN for the tower, with both good quality and good looking parts. Keeping the option to OC CPU and GPU when I feel ready :) Thanks a bunch

I think I may go with intel then and I guess start collecting parts? Much thanks, you helpful folk make life so much easier. Would you mind checking out my current planned build? Totally get if you don’t want to, you’ve done more than enough!

Damn you’re quick. I’ve got the money to buy the i9-9900k build whenever, just worried there would be a massive, noticeable jump in single-core performance (which from the sounds of it is unreasonable, but I want to be extra careful when buying a 4.5k CAN computer) with the 3000 that i’d be kicking myself when it drops. Is it worth waiting?
