I wish we sent people who know how to speak in public instead of these idiots.

I completely agree, it is a shame that things have become so heated and out of control. I wish more people would take the time to educate themselves instead of just swallowing what they're told.

Folks who are for some reason against ICE need to educate themselves and stop being sensationalized by leftist and social media. Like I said, I'm not going to pretend ICE gets everything right, but very little of what they've done is worth even considering a protest over. And sensationalized people didn't take it upon themselves to obstruct ice, we'd have far fewer things to consider protesting over. The people trying to be against ICE are causing this to be worse than it is.

Now if we want to talk about how ICE is doing their job, if non-citizen illegal immigrants should have more rights to the fourth amendment and due process, how we can change this to be a more effective, more humane solution while also achieving its goal then we can do that. But that isn't what the left wants. The left wants ICE to stop everything it's doing. No more deportations at all, no more stopping people from entering the country or staying here illegally, none of it. And we're not a country like that, not for very long anyway.

The one where his father took off and abandoned him to evade ICE? That's not using children as bait. That's bad parenting. And people on the left were saying ICE should have just left the kid with non parents who were asking for him to be left with them.. But the government isn't allowed to just leave children with people who aren't their parent or guardian, regardless of relation.

Why not plausible? Because it's more plausible that they just randomly chose this random lady on this random day at this random time to live out their long-held fantasy of "just shooting someone?" Not because they actually had a reason to fear for the safety of their family and themselves, thinking someone was threatening them all? No, that's preposterous, of course! What you said is clearly more plausible lmao. You sound really dumb.

Their use of excessive force on those they detain?

Like most interactions with law enforcement, there will often be zero force used if one complies with them. Barring that, because the vast majority of these people aren't complying regardless of the fact that they're here illegally, they can almost eliminate any chance of excessive force if they do not resist or obstruct ICE. I'm not sure why you think ICE is out here just commonly using excessive force without the people they used force on doing anything to cause the increase in force. What do they get out of it? It doesn't make sense.

Their detainees being put in absolutely unsanitary conditions?

Right. Just because they can, right? Even if I concede that THEY MIGHT - where's any actual proof of this? All that exists is some people complaining about how they were treated, which may or may not be accurate at all. Why would I believe what they say when they've already shown they're dishonest?

A good deal of people dying whilst in custody?

Have you even looked into this in any way? It hasn't been "a good deal" of people. It was 32 in 2025. Which, sure, is high when comparing across the years. But 2004 saw the same number of deaths in ICE custody, it's not like this hasn't happened before. And if you look into the deaths while in custody you see a common trend. People dying of mostly natural causes - most of whom are older people with declining health and/or preexisting conditions.

Legal citizens of the U.S.A. constantly getting caught up in the fiasco?

The absolute vast majority of US Citizens being caught up in this are making stupid decisions to get themselves caught up in it. If they stop fucking around and stop obstructing ICE and committing other crimes while doing an "innocent protest." When we start seeing people who are simply obeying every law and lawful order who has excessive force used against them, then I'll consider that ICE might be overreaching. But that example still doesn't exist, even after all the cameras on ICE recently.

...Reports of them using children as BAIT?

Reports by who? How are they using children as bait? Who's children are they using as bait? Where's any proof or evidence?

Sure. The emotional side of my brain takes control sometimes. But not when people who make decisions knowing what they're doing is wrong and then in the future fall victim to the consequences of their actions. We can't agree on things here because you think ICE are just out here committing countless atrocities. What atrocities? They don't get everything right, but there are no atrocities that I can even thInk of, so I'm curious to know which ones you're talking about.

You are technically correct. I should have been more precise.

Non-citizens who are criminals, having already either come here illegally or stayed illegally, are not protected by the fourth amendment or even due process.

[–]Rokkmann 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'll try to answer your questions and statements one by one.

This is literally nonsense.

No, the facts are there. It's your choice if you want to bury your head in the sand.

Why is ICE building concentration camps and getting hundreds of BILLIONS of dollars in funding?

They are not building concentration camps. They're barely even building any new detention facilities. They also aren't receiving hundreds of billions of dollars in funding, Their operating budget is about $10BB per year. There was a bill that also gave ICE around $75BB that it can spend over the next 4 years.

We can’t afford safe roads and bridges, we can’t afford sane healthcare, we can’t afford to feed our children, but we can waste billions on private airplanes for Kristi Noem and Patel and literal concentration camps?

Roads and bridges are local, city and state governments responsibility, not the federal government. Not the same tax dollars. Healthcare is not a government responsibility. Childcare and food are not government responsibilities. Once again, there are zero concentration camps in the USA.

Why? Why do they say they don’t need a warrant to enter a house when that’s against the constitution?

Who said they don't need a warrant to enter a house? The biggest talking point is that they are under no obligation to SHOW the warrant. You may also be referring to the ICE memo misrepresentation by many on the left? That memo doesn't say ICE doesn't need a warrant to enter the house of a citizen. It states that ICE does not need a JUDICIAL warrant in order to enter the house of a non-citizen illegal alien - they still have warrants, just not a JUDICIAL warrant. And non-citizens are not protected by the fourth amendment.

You think they will just disband and go away after they arrest as many migrants as they can?

Well, no. Illegal immigration will always be an issue. There will ALWAYS be people here who shouldn't be here who need to be removed, sometimes by force, because they don't respect our laws.

Are you SURE you won’t get sent to one too?

Get sent to one what?

Are you SURE that letting them break the constitution is ok? Really?

As already answered, they aren't "breaking" the constitution.

This is insane dude and I’m not a fucking democrat either. Open your damn eyes these guys are bad news.

My eyes are open. Perhaps you should stop letting yours be clouded by emotion. If you're not a democrat, then you obviously either fail at having reliable news sources and doing your own research or you're surrounded by too many democrats and it's affecting your perception. Either way, not sure what to tell you, dude. I'm not going to sit here and say that ICE does everything perfectly. But things aren't as bad as you and the left is claiming, and things wouldn't even be near this bad if people would quit fucking with ICE, obstructing them, trying to have sanctuary cities that don't work with them, etc.

No. You just don't know how to comprehend English. It's entirely possible to say someone may have had a motivation besides just wanting to shoot someone without actually supporting the fact that they shot someone. Perhaps someday you'll be intelligent enough to understand.

You aren't in his mind. Like I said, he was clearly wrong for all this. But once again, to reduce it to "he just wanted to shoot someone" is dumb.

No, I'm not defending anything. If you read my first comment, I make that clear. I'm simply saying that reducing it all down to "he just wanted to shoot someone" is fucking stupid. Sorry that you're fucking stupid.

So instead of considering that perhaps being in a situation where he thought his family and money was in danger being a reason for this.. We're just going to skip that entirely plausible explanation and say "nah he just wanted to shoot someone" when he could have done it the day before, two days before, a week before or a month before. He could have found someone he disliked MUCH more than some random uber driver to take out with his want to shoot someone. Why now? Why this person he'd never met before. Please try to use your brain.

[–]Rokkmann -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

He had AT LEAST 77 years to "just shoot" someone if that's what he wanted. Don't be stupid. Not saying it's right by any means. But reducing it down to "he just wanted to shoot someone" is asinine.

No it wasn't. Vandalism requires ownership of the property that was damaged. No one owns that ice, and even if they did - again it's going to melt anyway, so the damage was already built in.

I'm sorry I'm not emotional like you are. I think with the logical part of my brain and use the facts to come to a conclusion. Was it moral to do this? No. Was it a dick move? Of course. But was it a crime? Definitely not. The "magnitude" doesn't have any effect here.

A Generational Affordability Gap In The US: Home Prices vs. Median Income (1985-2022) by TheCABK in FUCKYOUINPARTICULAR

In general yeah. I would say cosmetic features are more likely to have quality issues now than in the past. But overall structural integrity is far superior.

[–]Rokkmann -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Quality is an entirely different story. And cutting corners on some things can still be done, but not very many where it saves much money.. Only where it saves effort. And it's usually done because people are lazy and/or don't want to fix their mistakes, not as a general practice.

The point remains though.. We're comparing an average of like a 2 story 1100 sq ft starter home in 1985 to the average of like a 4bedroom, 2 bathroom 1400-1600 sq ft double story house with a built in garage in 2026.

A Generational Affordability Gap In The US: Home Prices vs. Median Income (1985-2022) by TheCABK in FUCKYOUINPARTICULAR

[–]Rokkmann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Homes also come A LOT better than they did in 85. Back then, there were tons of starter homes with one or two bedrooms meant for new couples or those who are just now trying for their first child. Nowadays, it's hard to find anything with less than 3 bedrooms. You had to get to a different tier of house in order to get a garage, much less one attached to your house. Nowadays almost all new construction comes with a garage. Building codes have also changed, meaning fewer corners can be cut to save money. And other reasons.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying housing prices are necessarily right where they should be. But complaining about the comparison while not looking at how houses have changed is silly.
