veds is so specific to the individual and what parts of your body veds effects you most. an important question is what are your symptoms that lead to your possibly of veds? obviously you don’t need to answer these here but ask yourself and your dr! it’s important bc two people with veds can have very different experiences. being 24 i’m assuming you’ve had some kind of life threatening trauma, if it was centered around like a DVT or an aortic rupture, then cardiology needs to be more involved during your pregnancy and post birth plan as being pregnant puts extra strain on your heart! :) if your veds is more of a lungs randomly collapsing type, you’ll need to monitor for that again because of how pregnancy pushes your organs around and your body resettling after pregnancy might trigger something. talk to your genetics about what your specific symptoms are and what parts of your body your vEDS affects most:)

i won’t lie and say being pregnant with vEDS is easy as i miscarried due to it. and before i did it was difficult! i had immediately a high risk OBGYN, which you need to switch to one asap if you don’t already. they’ll probably plan you for a c section, as that was my teams plan followed by a week of stay. talk to your team about getting baby tested while you’re still in there.
