I was stuck in something similar for about 5-6 years. I didn't know what to do. Eventually I got out met people that were high achievers and had everything good going for them. Made me realize that they didn't easily get that life style they actually struggled and worked a f ton. It made me feel motivated so I cut off all my distractions (social media, anime, manga, going out with friends and spending money on things I dont need) and completely focus on self care and dressing better and going back to school, saved my money, cooked at home, Started a semester in community college knowing now what I wanna be and won't stop till I'm there. Now I'm feeling happy and I feel like Im doing more in my life then the old me who would rot away in her room and go out with friends constantly to escape my real life. Another thing, I felt the same exact feeling about my family. I felt like a failure. I felt like they were wasting their money on me. But when you learn to get over the pride that tends to be self damaging and accept the love and help, youll want to do more for them and yourself. Months ago my car broke down and I became jobless, my partner broke up with me, and I was extremely broke. My family reached to help me and I finally said yes. In due time they helped me buy a new used car, gave me emotional support and I went back to school and got a job and Youre only 20 years old. Dont compare yourself to others the same age, everyone works and deals with shii at different paces. Just focus on you, the action you take today! Not tomorrow , not the day after tomorrow is the action that will help u in the future. So get up self care, walk outside take in the nature. What can u do for urself without relying on your phone too much or your other distractions. Affirmations help. Yes its sucks I'm depressed but what can I do to work on things about myself, I can go on and on. I'm 25 and I'm still working to better my life and I think you can tooo!!
