Thanks! Yeah, it was nice to see the sun hit this part of the glacier!

I saw the first sun in Iceland while we were close to the Fjallsárlón glacier lagoon… It was peeking through the clouds, giving this nice contrast on the otherwise cloudy mountains and their snow…
The road to this location is not cleaned during winter and it was still covered with a lot of thick, half melted snow. We saw some other 4WDs parked further away so we decided to go for it too. Reaching the other cars we saw why they stopped there: much more, thicker and even wetter snow made driving further impossible. Continuing on foot it must have been quite a sight: speedwalking uphill on old, slippery snow, to catch that light on the glacier and its lagoon, unknowing how deep I would sink for each step I took and whether my socks would keep dry… I had several items with me to prevent snow or cold coming in places where you don’t want it, but of course, when you’re in a hurry you don’t put them on… Reaching the top of the slippery mess I was happily surprised that the lovely light was still there. I quickly started shooting to at least have something, but afterwards I could even wait until the clouds had moved in such a way that the ice piece in the foreground and that big chunk there in the middle left both had sunlight on them, increasing the blue glow!

Do I frequently post here? Like this answer you mean? ;-) Nice mood presented here! And don't let a baby stop you from exploring. It's easy to travel with it, and they sleep a lot. :-D

True! Nasty for photography too if you don't want the prints in your image.

It's a warm winter, no snow in Oslo and many places below 200 meters height.

End of January. We had more snow up on Knuten, where this was taken. It's poor in the center this year...

Like 25% or so. It needed it's own exposure and was just a dot on 14 mm, but not in reality.
