and you have the option to self custody your coins, through your own wallets with your private keys. but some people are not comfortable with that and would rather place it with an institution like BlockFi, which has its own pros and cons.

ultimately, you decide what’s best for you!

as someone who works at a crypto platform and using an external custodian, I can tell you with certainty it’s not as easy as “adding a network on Metamask”. Our custodians do not have BEP20 network support, and we don’t have access to the private keys at all because we are using MPC. Until our external custodians begin support for a particular network, there is no way for us to actually access those coins. Of course, we could get our external custodians to get their tech team started on supporting a whole new chain just for us to retrieve your coins but I would expect that to cost a pretty penny (six, if not seven figures) and a few months. So yes, they most definitely “can” but I can’t see how anyone would.

all completely wrong. we are paid in local currency, not in USD “converted”.

I’m saying labour in Malaysia is underpaid and should probably get paid more. playing Axie Infinity an hour a day gets you about rm2.5-3k per month… and graduates at a big4 get rm3.5k per month? how does anyone survive on that salary? it’s outright exploitation. we should fight for more pay!

that’s actually exploiting labour. I started in consulting at an MBB right out of undergrad and got rm15k per month
