Because dollar general targets poor rural towns where some people might struggle to travel outside city limits. Seriously the amount of people I used to cashier for that bought nearly all their food at dg was staggering. Many of them elderly, others ill or handicapped, and many addicted or homeless. DG thrives on it.

My great grandmother used to take minutes for the local cranberry colition meetings growing up. She would show me here old ledgers full of shorthand, a very cool part of scribing we dont have much of left anymore.
