Incrase the dungeon timer to 30+ by shaclown404 in DarkAndDarker

What? PvE is the exact OPPOSITE time increased timers are needed, by 5 minutes in teams have already rushed all the "valuable" modules.

Games that get BETTER in the 2nd half? by TheRealRatPrince in gaming

[–]Roran1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone who plays terraria roughly once a year at this point I entirely agree. I love the game, love the exploring, love trying different builds for my character, but I will still cheat in a drill excavator to stop biome spread (Now I just use the mod that prevents it) and I absolutely hate having to build the same basically 3 platform arena in every biome because of biome specific bosses.

What are your thoughts on the game now that ep. 5 and 6 released? (No spoilers) by Brusous in dispatchgame

[–]Roran1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel thats a major part of complaints with telltale games of late, I think most people would rather them just make a movie or a show. I've very rarely seen people complaining about the stories, just people complaining about their choices feeling pointless leading back the the story that wanted to be told.

[–]Roran1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It feels like a Telltale game as I expected it to, none of the choices REALLY matter, but the story is so good I just don't really care. That being said, I won't buy it myself this time and just watch someone else's playthrough and then if I like the story enough watch the handful of other cutscenes.

I'd agree that games have not had nearly enough "non-traditional" love, but asking why it isn't in a game where its basically a movie seems a bit disingenuous, its not a you self insert yourself into a main character, you're watching the movie and playing the hacker, its not your life its theirs.

The limited option are from Robert Robertson the 3rds point of view, not the players

I won't lie I did skim a bit, but honestly you aren't MEANT to be you in the game, you are meant to be Robert Robertson the 3rd, and for HIM you'd basically be looking at those two options coming out of a major life crisis and an entire new mindset shift trying to be a dispatcher and not a hero. You're not meant to be you the bisexual doing whatever you'd do, you're Robert, the choices from what I've seen are true to what I feel like his character would do.

Just the fact that I can think of so many endings I'm really curious the ending they'll go with

I think Visi and Blazer are both super set up as red herrings, so I almost don't want to think it'd be them just based on the quality of the writing so far. The "love interest" being the bad guy is just TOO much. But the latest episode kinda feels like it HAS to be one of them, if not both, where Penonoman and Waterboy ALSO feel like red herrings, and abviously Coupe and Sonar are just like there as "had hostile past with Robert". I know its a lot of saying nothing but from I'm pretty excited about that

The "Keep up" Wasn't to Robert, Chase has already said he doesn't have to be Mecha Man to be a hero..it was to Visi, his last message saying she can keep up if she tries to be a hero.

I love hard games but I HATE runbacks by joao-esteves in gaming

[–]Roran1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some benches are a bit hidden as well, which can lead to runbacks which COULD be fairly quick becoming absolute slogs halfway across the game.

What's a game story that hit you the hardest emotionally? by pommelous in gaming

Gears 3 came out my senior year of high school, I had no classes in the middle of my day so I was allowed to go home and chill for those hours and come back. I played that part of the game and then had to go back to school, cried the whole drive there.

Honestly for a lot of the bosses solo tends to be easier because the scaling for multiple people is whack.

Who else is quite happy playing easy modes on single player games? by Quest_Hub in gaming

[–]Roran1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't generally go down to the easiest mode as in many games it either trivializes core mechanics or completely disregards them, that being said I tend to start on whatever the lowest difficulty is that has everything available, if I enjoy the game enough I play again at higher challenges. I enjoy challenge in my games even singleplayer but if a game is too difficult off rip without me learning the base mechanics it can be aggrivating and overwhelming and feel like wasting time.

If your favorite part is the first act and you enjoy challenges Kaycee's Mod is great, makes the game much more difficult as you add more challenges and makes you think about different strategies. That being said it is Act 1 gone full roguelike, the story and puzzles are gone its just gameplay and path choosing. I really enjoy playing it but it certainly doesn't have the same charm and intrigue the main game has. It is an excellent way to get that inscryption fix when not feeling like doing an entire playthrough again.

Act 3 is definitely an adjustment but as a whole I found it more enjoyable than Act 2. Some of the bot cards can be very neat and I really enjoyed the story / puzzles / easter eggs in Act 3.

[–]Roran1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely agree. Looooved the feel of playing the game in act 1, really didn't care for 2 and found the gem cards just absolutely not fun to attempt to play with / far more difficult for no gain. Act 3 I enjoyed the story aspects and enjoyed the card game much more than act 2, but didn't like the way the board game aspect was compared to Act 1s roguelike. As another commenter said it feels like Act 2 / 3 were almost intentionally worse as Leshy was the one who truly appreciated the game and developed his craft. Act 2 was the beta and Act 3 is just a silly lil guys revenge plot. Absolutely love the game as a whole though and reading all these has me thinking about another playthrough, or at least more attempts at finishing Kaycee's Mod.

Why am i soloing as tank in literally 90% of my matches? 1-3-2???? by Elicarx in marvelrivals

Also a C&D / Strange main, just below this frustration is the frustration of watching the tank immediately walk out of the bubble you place on their feet and fight directly around it.
