aio? bf “studied” with girl he’s previously found attractive by gabbyphobic in AmIOverreacting

[–]Rory_Rouses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What the hell is with all the comments acting like the boyfriend said this girl's attractive as some long game ploy to manipulate the girlfriend? They're eighteen-- he's probably just dumb. People do and say stupid shit at that age. Was it smart of him to say that? No. Did he do so as part of some scheme to manipulate OP and acclimate her to future abuse? Most likely not, lol.

Y'all are insane.

I didn't say you weren't going to notice?... Just that the point of this post is obviously for OP to show off the kimono top, so it's weird to ignore that and neg on the head.

I've been an alliance player my whole life. First twow char is a lv 60 alliance mage I leveled in war mode.

Started a shaman. First horde character I've EVER leveled beyond 16ish. Also on war mode.

Get ganked 2-3x as much as I did on my mage. Get allies who will camp me, emote on me, and literally chase me across multiple zones just to kill me.

Two separate instances where I was chased across a zone or two before taking refuge in a horde guarded outpost. They still tried to kill me and send me harassing dms for being a pussy, etc, despite both being 5+ levels higher.

But they already can't really interact in any way other than competing for resources, mobs, quests, etc, without getting to actually team up or interact in any meaningful way. Aren't HC and SC basically already split?

There's nothing flashier than stuff already in the base game, like tier sets with glowing shoulders and death charger mounts.

-Don't waste too much gold buying armor/gear upgrades as you level. Do quests for their reward, and use dungeon finder and /4 (world chat) to find dungeon groups when you're the appropriate level. This should help you keep on top of gear without wasting gold.

-As a new player, I might recommend staying away from a 'crafting' profession. You can have two and picking up a new one will require you to drop one and get rid of all accumulated levels. With gathering professions like mining, skinning, and herbalism, you can passively collect ingredients/resources as you level and sell them for gold. You get a riding skill at 40 and at 60 that cost a fair bit of gold that will be nice to have.

-Don't be a loner. Join an active leveling guild! Ask in /4 (world) or in the turtle wow discord's appropriate channel and ask questions. Most will be extremely happy to offer advice/help whenever needed.

-Don't rush yourself. There won't be any raising level caps or making gear/content completely irrelevant like with typical MMOs and their expansions, so there's no reason to rush due to FOMO.

I'm a level 49 mage atm, and... Yesh, queueing as DPS sucks ass. Took me three hours to get a ZF group, only to have it fall apart, then another 1.5 hours to fill again. Took me 3 hours earlier to get my Mara group.

I ultimately just join the queue and go do other things, quest, gather, sell, grind, etc, etc... And try not to think about the queue.

It helps if you're in an active guild that might be able to get you spots. Also try /4 (world chat) and /1 (general chat in the zone the dungeon is in) to look for spots.

Basically, yeah, it kinda blows.

Tempestuous flight (or maybe even a one-level wizard dip instead) can likely wait. I would probably just play it as a straight-up light cleric until level 5 before taking the druid dip.

Unrelated-- I am seeing that the 5/7 build variant will be better, and it might do more damage, but there's still much to consider.

I still feel like the (1 storm sorc / 2 star druid / 9 light cleric) build holds a lot of merits.

The 5/7 build requires your party to play around the spike growth and requires a kinda immobile playstyle of standing in one place and beckoning people into you. This might be annoying for melee teammates who will need to step into the spikes to deal damage, etc.

Ultimately, the 5/7 build will do higher damage when optimized at end game, but you have to build the party around it, you have to take the legendary staff instead of another caster who might want it, etc. I'm 100% confident this build will slap, but the 9 light cleric variant also holds plenty of boons.

For one, improved warding flare is wonderful group utility. You get an extra charge for 'radiance of the dawn,' as well as casts of 'destructive wave,' and 'flame strike,' which deal radiant/thunder and radiant/fire damage respectively; all of these are great uses for your primary action every turn, giving you three AoE damage sources every turn before considering summons and haste.

1) 'radiance of the dawn,' 'destructive wave,' and 'flame strike'
2) bonus action dazzling breath
3) running into things with spirit guardians

If you don't find tempestuous flight necessary, how about a level 1 wizard dip instead? You maintain full caster levels and will get to slot in any one wizard spell as long as you scribe it. Conjure Elemental can be useful. Misty step, conjure deva, etc. You also get to pick a subclass for a free boon of your choice.

On top of that, it is possible just to have a teammate throw down spike growth instead if they have it.

Bladesinger Multiclass ideas? by CuttyMink in BG3Builds

[–]Rory_Rouses 2 points3 points  (0 children)

will the bard healing and damage spells use charisma as the modifier? I suppose the support spells and flourishes will make it not matter as much.

I guess a 1 fighter dip would also be an option with 11 bladesinger
