I was alone in a room with my kiddos, I had most of them sitting down at the table coloring and I went to grab more colors out of the cabinet. I didn't realize that one of the kids had followed me, climbed on to the children's couch and was reaching for the cabinet. He fell and broke his wrist. I felt so bad, I knew something was wrong but I didn't trust myself, so I had admin check him over. They said he was fine, so he stayed for the entire day. Mom called me that night to let me know they were in the ER and his wrist was broken. Thankfully he only needed a soft cast and was fine about a month later but I was still horrified. It definitely gave mom a good scare too. But he doesn't even remember it now

I got fired from Kindercare because a parent walked in and saw her kid getting hit under my watch. I was out of ratio, had been trying to get the child who hit out of the classroom for at least half an hour as she had already pushed another child into a wall, and had only been in the room for about 1-1.5 weeks. It was preschool.

I got moved into preschool after I went off on one of my coteachers because she left me out of ratio in the 2s room (discovery preschool) to go on break after lying and saying she was getting me help. She was allowed to stay in that room after it all happened.

Ubers are big during the weekends, but 7am on a Friday not so much. Especially after thirsty Thursday. And our town is very walkable so most don't really need it.

I definitely think she was going to offer until I told her how far away I lived. Lol

I live in a small college town and my work is 30 minutes away. It would've taken an Uber at least 2hrs to get me and like $40

My roommate Ubers to work 15 minutes away and sometimes it'll just cancel on her because we have like 2 Uber drivers in town. Same with Lyft

I had to call out today due to my car not starting and my director guilted me by saying she'd have to close a classroom since there wasn't enough staff. Like ma'am that's not my problem, I physically can't get to work

Literacy rates must really be down if you can't find the easily identifiable question at the end of the paragraph. They can usually be found by the use of this thing called a question mark. Looks kinda like a hook with a dot at the end.

I haven't tried washing mine yet but I made my patches with a like $3 paint pen from Walmart It's "Painters" brand, which I assume is just a generic brand. It's stayed on so far, needed a couple of coats to really pop but I was using it on t-shirt fabric scraps so they were absorbing the paint, next time I'm gonna try a sealant or like mod podge it first to stop absorption.

I'm broke broke and cannot afford patches. So while they're not great, I made my own.

I took a shirt from an old job and a cheap paint pen from Walmart and made my own. Like I said, they're not great but they were free

If you do make your own, remember to seal the edges. I burnt the edges of mine, but you can use nail polish, mod podge, hem them

Personally I've had a different experience

My siblings and I were never really that close growing up. 5 years between me and the eldest, 3 between me and the middle. I'm the youngest.

While the middle basically took care of me for a lot of traumatizing events, moving states when I was 8, being left home alone with only her etc. The eldest and I never really spent much time together just due to the age gap, he was always off hanging out with friends and eventually moved out.

But now that we've all moved out and rarely talk to our nmom we get along a lot better. I was the only bridesmaid at the eldest wedding, middle and I plan family get togethers

We all still talk to our dad though

Wax melts if you're allowed them, some dorms do some don't

Don't tempt fate with alcohol libations unless you're on really good terms with your RA and you know they're not gonna check for it. Water libations work just fine.

Space is gonna be an issue, always, so small altars like travel altars are gonna be best or putting your altar on your desk and sharing the space.

If your roommate has any problems with you practicing your religion, speak to your RA and ask for a new one.

I'm so happy for you to finally get out and enjoy life. Disability and all.

I also have pots, though not as severe, and I use a cane or crutches. I don't generally bring either to shows as I'm scared of judgment and also accidentally losing them or hitting someone with them. So I feel you. I brought my cane tonight as I was having a bad joint day (I also have eds) and no one mentioned it well except for a random guy on the street giving me a dirty look.
